yes anti burn in

John_Durnie

This TV is a bargain, bought it about three weeks for a similar price, bit less £864, I think the quality is amazing (my first oled), those blacks! Have seen a few comments about bright rooms not being a good thing, however, mine sits beside the living room window and is angled to where I sit so I am looking straight at the TV and I have no issues with bright light. Watch from a harsher angle though and the glare is pretty bad, but why would you. Dont game on it as my xbox and computer are hooked up to an Ultra Wide screen monitor. I have noticed, after a couple of software updates, if I pause the tv about one minute later the screen reverts to a continually moving display, like fireworks, is this anti- screen burn tactics?

Any deal for 65'

Hmm maybe. But the C and 2021 model is obviously better than the B and 2020 model.

The CX is currently available for 999 here: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lg-oled55cx5lb-55-inch-4k-ultra-hd-oled-tv-wit-3760891

iby2012

this isnt much less then the CX, CX is what £1079 tops, probably £1k and has been £1k. so idk if getting now the 2 year old model is a good idea. considering its basically the same price. maybe if it was sub-800.. :)

Vegeta

LG's 2019 OLED models such as this may not get 4K 120Hz Dolby Vision support. Something to keep in mind.

Kipper_Rawr

As far as I can tell it's new. If it was second hand/open box/return, refurb or ex-display it should say. Also this is 2 generations ago, the CX replaced this and the new C1 replaced the CX It's still good considering it will do 4k @ 120hz and has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports

Kukoo

The C9 was one of the best OLED model but is it better to buy the newer model CX if price difference is minor. Also is this a brand new one or refurbished as its a few year old model and was out of stock for a while... Thanks

This weeks offer. Seems to be cheaper than other reputible companies.

"Future proof"

chancooluk

It's also important for movie watchers if a panel can't refresh at 120hz ( the A series is limited to 60hz). Because 60hz is not divisible by 24fps, so there is judder on most movie content without some sort of motion interpolation. Most 120hz panels can show 24fps content correctly, without judder as 120 is divisible by 24.

spinach_pie

*Important to note this feature will only be future proof for gamers - and specific gamers who care about 4k120

TrevorKislingbury

Also Includes a free soundbar

aruf

the A series is new but lacks many of the features that make the set future proof namely 120hz 4k and hdmi 2.1.

I’ve got same TV, but 55 inches.. still goes strong after 8 years.. If it wasn’t for new console (xbox series x) I wouldn’t think about replacing it.. Missed PRC deal yesterday, so still after LG Oled55cx. :)

Online mate ,put 4 price matches in only one got approved

Peeps

I've just been into Currys and they won't price match with the LG offer because it's not a public discount. Did you do yours instore or online?

webb204

I took a screenshot of the LG page showing the discount added to my cart

Peeps

Did you have to send the discount code to Currys or just the link to their website?

They will never admit they were wrong and seemed to have an agenda. Bizarre

Fubsy

Got two iffy pixels on my panel, one about a third in and down so I'm always catching it in bright scenes. Anyone know what Very are like to deal with on issues like this? Been reading horror stories so far...

mr_hercules

I'd add that the roller is set too high and gets knocked too easily as a result.

mr_hercules

I agree that this TV is overrated. This coming from a Panasonic plasma. In some, very specific circumstances, the LG wins, but overall I'm underwhelmed as compared to the Panny. Also, my Programme Guide is incredibly slow to update. Like 10 - 15 seconds, at least... I do get stuttering and lag occasionally in the picture. Like the processor is trying to do something but failing. Can't describe it easily. Only lasts a few seconds then it rights itself
