Back when they last had stock I got mine from RS for £1800

Doesn’t seem to be available now. Need to expire the deal.

Pretty sure RS are out of stock on this which is a shame as a price match would have been tempting...

It's not that bad a price. Bought mine for £2.099 from Richer Sounds. Great sound and picture on this. Well worth the money.

If you work in insurance you have no morals 😘

Why are you telling people that they should put the TV on their home insurance then smash it on purpose of it develops burn in? Where do you work? I'd like to see your attitude to customers who were to try similar tactics with your products or services. Get some morals.

Are you guaranteed to get burn in? Obviously not, so the Armageddon you foresee is probably never going to happen. Get some perspective!

So you are advocating insurance fraud? On top of that paying extra for accidental damage cover and also paying the £350 excess? Then I will have increased premiums and lose my no claim bonus. All to save a measly £140. How can someone be so dumb and ignorant to think the above is a great idea.

Anyone know if that b9 at Costco has been coming into stock or not at £941 price? Also has anyone had experience with PCWORLD price match?

It was in November 2019. Richer sounds price matched costco at £1799. The C9 65" is basically out of stock now for the last 2 weeks across the country. So if you want a CX65 I would wait til black Friday this year now.

That's not what I've said at all. I'm not giving out blanket advice that all people should ignore the warnings and lay it flat. You're the one giving blanket advice by saying people shouldn't lay it flat under any circumstances and even mocking someone who chose to do that (which was what made me comment, because they were being respectful and you chose to be quite rude). All I'm saying is that people should use common sense - if you live far away and have to drive on bumpy, country roads, then obviously it's not a good idea. If you live 5 minutes away on straight flat roads, and can pad your boot out, then it will be fine. That's common sense - saying that no one should do it is definitely fear mongering.

Yes Steve it's exactly that and agree shops should be telling you that especially on large TVs .I withdraw my comments on how to transport it as people can do as they want .By all means lie flat and like someone said but got deleted (again) use common sense and ignore the box warnings 🤐.

No problems didn't realise it was fear monger as you put it . Obviously you are right and manufacturers who say don't lie flat are wrong ...my bad .Common sense should apply as you say and ignore the warnings .After all we all drive on nice flat UK roads so all good after all.

The men said nothing about how to transport it when I picked up mine. I'm presuming it's the two arrows next to the Breaking Bad symbol that refers how to go about it, although it could be a little clearer.

Luckily saw comment from edanfall before it was removed .Yes Iam someone who in their ultimate desire to get my new 65 TV home decided to lie it flat as didn't want to wait a week for delivery .To be honest i didn't see the arrows on box or clicked why they were all upright in shop as Iam no expert on transportation of TVs as Iam sure a lot aren't. Unfortunately our roads aren't the best and disaster happened when I bounced down a unseen pothole .Needless to say shop not interested as on CCTV showed I had layed it flat and now hoping house insurance can payout out . I didn't consider your post boring and wish someone had advised the correct way to move them .Real shame people on here have nothing better to do than criticise what was a genuine helpful comments for people who have no idea on risk lying flat .

Ok is this worth than extra £400?

Got for 999 from ebay seller c9 55

Got this TV yesterday to replace an older Sony android model, wow what an upgrade all round. From picture quality to responsive its a huge improvement Couldn't fault the service from Peter Tyson's and would highly recommend anybody looking for a new TV to check this out as I can't imagine for the money there is anything better out there right now.

Hi Metalex, I confirmed with this LG directly a while back. There is no difference, simply the factory where it came from. This is a qutoe from their email. "After having had a look into this for you, the various three-character codes at the end of the OLED CX model numbers (“5LB” and “6LA”) denote the factory in which they were manufactured. These do not affect the specification, quality or price of the TV, it is simply for our reference in case any frequent issues were to occur, then we would know which factory requires investigation." Hope that helps.

Where you getting the c9 for £1,099?

Q90R does 4k@120Hz 4:2:0 8-bit, so compressed, and no HDR.

Richer sounds do appointments, so try to go to a store to see it in action. Even in game mode I wouldn't say it's a normal LCD but the blooming will put some people off. The one connect box is both great but as you've seen is a single point of failure. If they made the cable easy to replace it would be great and personally I'm a fan of the on connect box. I miss it when going to oled but I have an AVR so most cables plug into that anyway.

I don't like look of the band at the bottom of the screen on the E9, where the speakers, are so it wasn't that clear a choice for me. All personal preferences though

I've read on AV forums that the E9 glass panel vibrates when the sound is at a certain level. I think this may cause issues down the line so a C9 seems better value for money.

Website says 12 months warranty?

For those not wanting a soundbar the E9 is the clear winner. Also the E9 has a glass panel design making it far sleeker than the B9/C9. Apart from that, go for the C9 or if you want to really save the pennies but still have OLED grab the B9.

AFAIK C9 and upwards have a better processor than the B9 so IMO there’s a bigger jump from B9>C9 than C9>E9. All awesome TVs so if it fits in your budget, well worth going for them!

I received my 55 C9 via the posted JL price match and voucher last week and it getting sent back with a failure - sounds fades, crackles and pops like it about to explode. Gutted as it was a fantastic TV and picture was out of this world, eye popping. JL were woefully crap on the support front. Took over 6 hours of combined time to get to speak to some one who said they would refund as non in stock despite stores down south showing. They would not ship from a store with stock telling me i had to drive 5 hours to get it if i wanted it. I could not get through to the store as it goes to contact centre. I am now in the position that there are no 55 C9 left anywhere and any that are will see me having to pay around £300 extra which i cant justify. I didn't want to step down to B9 but not sure if i will see any difference in the real world as it may be my only option unless the E9 dropps few hundred. Raging is an understatement. (mad)

Did a bit of digging - my warranty certificate was emailed to me approximately 30 days after my purchase. (y)

From memory you have to complete a warranty card with your tv serial number & receipt details.

Yeah, i signed to the VIP Club a day before I bought it on their website. I have had an email with a receipt (pdf showing the price paid) but no mention of 6 year guarantee. I though they sent some sort of guarantee certificate?

Did you sign up for their “VIP Club?” That’s how you get the free 6 year warranty

That is incorrect. Your legal contract is always with the retailer.

I went to RS first but as within first 12 months was told I had to take up with LG. Anyway, all sorted..... replaced with the Samsung QE75Q90R Well impressed!!!

Just out of interest do people who are getting screen burn tinker with the picture settings?

Yeah LG can be a bit of a pain but I'm surprised you went to them first seeing as you get a 6 year warranty with Richer Sounds. What QLED did you get?

This is the B8. No this developed within a couple of months, I called LG as thought it was screen burn and they didn’t want to know. 10 months the whole TV died, an engineer finally attended and replaced all boards to get working again. I then showed the screen and he said it was screen uniformity issues. Despite LG having all pictures, letters etc.... they don’t care! Richer sounds stepped in and have now replaced thankfully with the Samsung. My QLED is amazing, imo it’s on a par with OLED but brighter so for me better. Don’t get me wrong, OLED is fantastic, BUT expect screen uniformity as this is normal, and don’t expect LG to help you at all. I can post more pictures but they show the same. In another thread another member posted his pictures which were 10 x worse than mine!!

Hey, thanks very much for posting this. I just missed out on the TV100 code for a C9, saw your message here, decided to contact them and they are honoring it! Same deal as you, just got my email order which includes a free high-speed HDMI and delivery.

Gutted, the code isn't working , submitted a price match with John Lewis last night on the hope that the deal would still be on today. Never mind, will have to wait for another deal (fingers crossed)

Just ordered via RGB direct. TV150 worked this morning, was going to get Richer Sounds pricematch, however the code stopped working when he put it in (fierce) . I called RGB direct, talked to someone in store, he emailed me an order with free HDMI cable and delivery on Monday. Warranty I asked about - whats the difference between the free D&G and the £214 upgrade, he said take the free. Monday... (party)

Yeah unless its 4k HDR or gaming the colours dont pop like you say but are way more natural. Apparently they take about 100 hours to get going fully? Im on bright room but ive changed all settings within that! Im thinking I will need different settings for daytime TV, evening tv, 4k/HDR and gaming. Also Im not a fan of warm 2 that most recommend! Warm 1 at a push. Its the picture on normal HD that I cant get right

I have similar feelings and bought the set recently from Richer Sounds. What settings are you using? I'm currently using the Dark Room settings on the Ratings website. Colours don't pop but are more natural looking. I have turned up the sharpness to 25 as I like the image to be sharper.
