Link to the previous deal for those thinking of buying. Worth reading through some of the comments regarding issues some have faced such as front fork/wheel alignment.

I've had the front wheel issue. Needs truing in my case, but for £100 I'd still buy again (and have (y)). It might be the delivery is damaging it, or an issue in QC or factory but should definitely be fixable.

What's the warranty on this as quite a few things can go wrong with bikes.. And does it come assembled or do you have to build it yourself? Many thanks in advance

bought one last time, came with a bent fork, seller sent me to a local bike shop to fix.
It's been in the garage since...

    buy with eyes wide open

Have PacificCycle responded to you? They're outright ignoring me

I'm 5.9. Would I be okay with small here? I was hoping to get medium but all sold out
    avfcBBT's avatar
I'm 6ft and the medium is fine for me, so the small should be fine for you

    That RRP!

    How gullible are people?

I feel sorry for the people who are hiring the skip that these will be dumped in by their disappointed owners in the next few months.

You are clueless. I have one of these and also numerous high end bikes £2k+. If you are in the market for a hybrid type bike I don't think you'll get much higher quality if you were to spend the full RRP. I'm seriously tempted to buy another just for the parts

I'm 5 " 7 bought medium last time way to big , sold it on go for small rebought a small this time.
    chenzz's avatar
I am 5''7 as well. Male?
So I should go for small?
what kind of assembly work I need to do to get it ready?
  7. dbond1803's avatar
Anyone know if you can one click the wheel off to get it into a car?
    user456789's avatar
Yes, it has quick release skewers.

So these are the returns from the last deal?
    Ravi_Vinodam's avatar
I don't think these are returns. Small were not sold out last time, they removed the listing due to the issues with the courier. I guess clearing out rest of the bikes(which are small, as Large was sold out first)

Here for the comments. I see small or medium sizes offered, surely 29" isn't for a medium sized human? (edited)
    mattd555's avatar
    29 is the wheel size.
  10. ChrissyStock43's avatar
Be aware guys- I’ve had issues with the disk brakes on this bike. They delivered 2 miles away (make sure they use DPD if possible). Sent the wrong size and their customer support was shocking. Apart from that a great bike at a great price!
  11. iamshofi's avatar
Terrible quality. I got one few days ago. Has issue with frame too.
  12. tank86's avatar
I bought this on the previous deal.
I'm 5'11 and medium seems about right to me.
Only issue so far was front brake rubbing which was fairly easy to fix.
However I got a puncture on my first ride which I'm a bit gutted about!
    bonzobanana's avatar
I remember buying a cheap bike from Sterling House for £29.99 the Exodus Havoc and I think mine was missing rim tape on one wheel so had a puncture on that wheel. They forgot to fit any at the factory. Also it had welds on the stem that were truly awful, a real amateur had welded it. It still was strong but it looked terrible. Still a good bike overall for general use.

tempted for my partner, I have spare parts bin and couple spare wheelsets so nothing I can't fix/replace, mate is also a qualified bike mechanic so that helps.

tubeless setup on this would be nice, anyone who owns one can advise on max tyre clearance for that frame? Pictures of the BB/chainstays and also the seatstays?
    ziggycj's avatar
    Author
Do you think it's worth buying one even for spares? Ordered a size up for someone who now doesn't want, but unsure whether to cancel, or just keep for replacement parts over the years. The frame will be too big for me, but the wheels etc are interchangeable? Or just buy parts as needed?
  19. bonzobanana's avatar
For the spec amazing value but sounds like frame and fork quality may not be amazing. If the forks are steel could be a good option for a front hub motor conversion normally if they are ok on the bike you get. I'm unsure if the criticism of the forks is due to weak design or poor manufacturing quality producing a non symmetrical set of forks.

Decathlon checked my fork and said it was fine, it's the wheel that needs truing in my case. So not sure if other people do have fork issues, or if it is a wheel issue but adjusting the fork will end up balancing out the wheel anyway (but ultimately you still have a wonky wheel). It's hard to tell as I guess most people (unless they go to a mechanic) don't have the specialist tools to check properly so are just resorting to whatever creates a "fix".

For me, the frame quality seems fine, but I'm no expert. Much lighter than my last bike which was about 15+ years old so heavier materials.

I got one last time and really love it. I'm 6"2 and large actually fits

Got this on the last deal and have used it for 80miles no issues so far, wheel is out of alignment at the front but had it serviced and told not a major issue. Cheap run around and does the job for me. Would recommend, although the seat is concrete
    mosafdar's avatar
Haha same, I’ve done about 90 so far! Love it!

I was slightly jealous of this bike and was tempted to buy and sell the Polygon bike I bought for £120 which I bought in the XL size. However after reading the comments on this thread maybe I got the better deal! The hydraulic brakes on this made it more tempting but I don’t know how they compare to the mechanical disc brakes on my Path 2 bike?
    bonzobanana's avatar
There is always bikes available that you think may be possibly better than yours or a potentially better value purchase. It's a slippery slope of N+1 bikes. Polygon is an actually manufacturer (Insera Sena) and likely will have a better quality frame etc. Schwinn is just an importer buying from Asian factories, probably whoever they can find is cheapest at the time. Still can be fantastic value though especially if they are clearing out stock cheap because they are leaving the UK market.

I’m 5foot 1” and the small is way too big for me. Also it arrived with the frame bent, folded up at a right angle, still ride it 19miles per day though 🙌💪💪💪💪

You'd probably have been better off with the step-thru Small. I'm 5'1" and that's what I got. They are selling those again for £100 too hotukdeals.com/dea…916

Tyres 38mm x 700c but Decathlon says 48mm? They are £449 on Decathlon online, how is that possible?
    ziggycj's avatar
    Author
Decathlon are wrong. The tyres say 700x38 (48mm would be heading towards fat tyre territory)

Size small so for my kids?? What's wrong with this country? I thought this is.the country of super sized people not S,M sizes? Whenever I klick on any clothes or shoes links on HUKD sizes S,M at max? Same with the most of the bikes M as.max size so for people who are 5 foot? (edited)

you don't know until she has tried it, but you could guess and say yes. has she ever rode a bike with 29inch/700c wheels?
