Seems like it can just fall out the top, why not just get the lid and hold it with a slight gap and pour that way?

If only there was a round bowl type thing with holes in that could be placed in the sink you could pour into.

This is a great example of a perfect solution to a problem that doesn't actually exist.

What is the difference between this one posted and this one that I found amazon.co.uk/Cli…cc6

They are completely different. One is hard plastic the other flexible. they are different prices. Both however are pointless alternatives to things already available to use in the kitchen. (edited)

everyone why wouldn't a collander be easier? Neither a collander or the featured item would add to the cost of washing up, if money is that tight just run your chosen item under a running cold tap

Not saying this is a must have product, I'm happy with my sieve and colander, but major advantage over all the 'I'm so clever' suggestions is this doesn't need two hands which is good for heavy pots and stops the chance of getting boiling water or steam on the hand holding the lid etc.

use the lid or small side plate

As mentioned above, it frees up one hand which helps with heavy full pans

As b1g1an says, this item frees up one hand rather than using it to hold the lid to the pan. I use the veg water that comes off to make tasty gravies and soups rather than let a colander funnel it down the sink. You'd need a wide bowl to stand a colander in. This item makes the process of reusing the liquid more efficient

If you were to put the sieve in the pan bowl first, you would still be able to guide/support the pan with both hands, and you could still pour the water into the container of choice. The problem with using a lid is the less control of direction

People are missing the point here, and the product info from Amazon doesn’t help, but whilst this is trying to fix a problem that doesn’t exist for most people, this might be invaluable to people with accessibility needs.

This is where this particular item shines.

£2.68 on Temu, when part of a minimum value order.
No way is it any better or worse quality

I don't know how I managed it but with a bit of waffling to the live chat support they've removed the minimum order value from my account.

Getting better all the time. But obviously these aren't good enough for some people "because they come from China"
