It's on clearance at John Lewis! I remember when these spiked to like £50~100 during lockdown. I feel it's a good enough webcam for stand working from home especially if you don't like to use your laptop's webcam maybe because it's either poor in quality, doesn't work or your setup makes it hard for it to be used!

Free click and collect over £50, or £4 delivery or £2.50 click and collect; you can check your local store too for stock.

Blast from the past, I've had one for over 10 years. Paid £10 back then, wouldn't pay any more than that. It really isn't a good camera but its better than nothing if you are using a device like a desktop.

I bought this same model back pre 2010. This old thing was put back into production due to lockdown boom in webcam demand. It's not worth a penny, don't touch it!

    What decade is this?

It's an old model from 2010. They restarted production probably during covid webcam boom. Note the very old Microsoft logo

I prefer this to my higher res (and more expensive) Logitech for basic video calls. Nicer, warmer colours and not as wide angle. Not quite as sharp a picture, but no one needs to see me in UHD. (edited)

No chance of my colleagues seeing the contents of my nostrils and my spotty face at 720p.

Also no widescreen, so your dodgy film or toy collection in the corner of the room is safe too.

Perfectly adequate camera if all you are doing is teams meetings and such. Very light and flexible means easy to transport around as well.

Had mine since lockdown and at this price it's perfectly fine.

Not heard about Windows Hello! but may be yes for Windows 10, Windows 11!

I've got one, bought probably when it first came out. Sometimes use it for the microphone.

These are great if you're using Octopi on a Raspberry Pi to drive your 3D printer. Works with the distro without any additional fiddling around.

The quality is absolute garbage by modern standards, but good enough to keep an eye on a print. (edited)
