About this item
  • Razer Analog Optical Switches: Set a desired actuation point to suit your playstyle, or use analog input for smoother, more nuanced control—doing away with rigid 8-way WASD movement for true 360-degree motion.
  • Doubleshot PBT keycaps: Harder and more durable than ABS, these tough keycaps won’t wear down to a shiny finish and have labels which will never fade thanks to their doubleshot molding process.
  • Powered by Razer Chroma RGB: With 16.8 million colors and a suite of effects, sync its keys and underglow with the rest of your battlestation, and enjoy greater immersion as it dynamically reacts with over 150 integrated games.
  • Magnetic plush leatherette wrist rest: Featuring Razer Chroma RGB underglow, the soft, cushioned wrist support magnetically snaps to the keyboard to relieve pressure on your wrists, so you feel less fatigued when gaming over long periods.
  • Multi-function Digital Dial and 4 Media Keys: Configure them to pause, play, skip and tweak everything from brightness to volume—the ultimate convenience as you enjoy your entertainment.

Hey anyone own this? What’s it like for typing on generally ? I’m a gamer but also coder. I’d be interest to know what you all think. Does the smaller size impact its use ?

Like MrP, I've got the purple switch version from 2019. Use it everyday for both work (hate having to go into the office and use the junk keyboards) and gaming. It's been a pleasure though I don't make use of the bling features, the software (macros etc) have been useful for work and games. No sign of any wear on the keys etc.

I'd never attempt to use the cut down versions, anything without a number pad is a PITA (my son has one and I hate every occasion I have to use it).

I've not done any coding for a few years, but pretty sure I used the number pad frequently when I did (but I'm from the older self taught typist generation) so perhaps not a deal breaker for you.

I'd certainly consider another when it breaks.

The switch types are selectable from some models on Amazon. I've also a Tartarus Pro with the optical analogue switches (I use for first person shooters), my preference would NOT be those for general typing, but I guess that because I'm not a great touch typist and bottom out the keys. I guess the optical may be great if you are a good typist (configurable to only the lightest depression or multiple actions depending on the depression depth).

For those that play professionally, get yourself a wooting since you already know why.

For everyone else this will suffice honestly, I have both. Hope this helps

Had a razer Blackwidow elite and starting having issues just after a year of ownership and Razer were no help whatsoever...Terrible support, terrible bloated software and terrible reliability COLD!
