I still prefer buying the m.2 nvme drives and using them with an enclosure for the same price I get twice the performance it’s half the size of this and I can reuse it later on down the line on a desktop or laptop upgrades

Yes buddy if you shop around like we all do you can find some great deals, i purchased gen 4 m.2 nvme 990 pro 2tb for £95 and the t500 for £105 but that’s over kill for an enclosure, you only need a gen 3 or 2 which can be had for even cheaper. (edited)

OP, you might wish to edit and include the capacity of this drive in the title.

£8 more if you need a USB-A adaptor. Good deal if you don't!

I tried X8 but wasn't happy so returned, adapter left out 'by accident' Great for X6

it pains me, the lack of available portable ssds and the low prices of storage in general.

I should have gone on a shopping spree about a year ago lol.

Would this work off of a phone? I purchased a 2TB nvme drive + enclosure, but it seems my S24 ultra doesn't provide enough power to maintain connection, so I can't use the drive through the phone.

YMMV, but mine wont mount on a Pixel 7 pro, want to format it on insert from a very quick search its due to partitioning.

This suitable for xbox series s as expansion storage?

You won't be able to play series games of it only store the games. To play the games you will have to transfer back to your internal drive. You can play Xbox one and 360 games off it
