Saw the 48” version of this one near a sony a90k yesterday. Sony makes this one look like a led budget tv. Crazy. Not sure if curry’s messed with the settings on purpose

Yeah I wouldn’t be much worried since you’ll never have them side by side in your room . I’ll probably go for the c3 anyway myself as the price difference between it and the Sony is crazy

If you've got this sort of money to spend then the Sony XR65X95LU costco.co.uk/TVs…086 for £1379 with Google TV currently at Costco, probably has the Best TV OS of any TV imho and is meant to be a good TV for a brighty lit room.

If you want a Samsung Neo Qled I reckon the Samsung 88C are quite highly priced currently at Costco, they may well be on offer next week (just a hunch, could be wrong) but you'll know by Monday and once again they're a decent TV for a brightly lit room. But depends whether they can get on with Samsung, LG OS.

This does not strike me as great advice. At least not as standalone advice anyway.

Not sure what price you're hoping this to go down to, don't think last years 2022 model has gone lower than this since its release. (edited)

Got this TV last week. I was quite disappointed at first with the picture cos I was expecting deep colours and to me it looked very dull and washed out. After spending ages messing about with the settings it looks mi h better. Still not completely satisfied so will need to tinker a bit more but I am slowly starting to fall in love with this thing. I cannot believe how thin it is either! Had a mate help get it setup and we were both so scared of damaging it because of how thin it is. The sound quality as well is mind blowing.

If you're a gamer this also an outstanding TV to use. It's so incredibly smooth and that is without turning on the options to reduce input lag. However if you have your laptop or computer connected it's does get dimmer even when having it the brightest it could be unless I'm missing something. That's actually my only real complaint. It could do with being a bit brighter.

Oh another thing. When you do use a computer connected it gets laggy when you move the mouse/cursor unless I'm again missing some option/setting. I got mine from Very when it was on sale plus an additional 20% off made it come to just a little bit more than this. Can't send it back now cos the boxes all torn up so feeling a bit annoyed right mainly cos missing out on the 5 year warranty lol. (edited)

Your dimming problem might be related to how the software operates. It’s designed to lower the luminosity on static images to protect the screen against burnout. I don’t own an oled but I did watch allot of stuff about lg oleds as I’m planning to get one (edited)

hmmm do Currys price match with Costco?

hmmm I guess this from their conditions would imply not - currys.co.uk/ser…tml

    • We'll match against any other UK retailer store or website price including offer-code discounts. We do not match trade prices, prices only available as part of paid for membership/subscription or 3rd party marketplace seller prices.

Looking for a telly for the folks - something with a simple to use UI would be ideal as it would reduce the need for tech support (i.e. me!)

would you recommend this over a Samsung QLED - the room is fairly bright and not sure if QLED is better for them.
