    Went to my local store and this is correct. Very limited stock and different stores have different prices. Some stores £ 479.99, 389.99 and others £300. South ruislip has one if it's still there and park royal has 5 subject to avialbility all at £300. The staff in store can check on the handheld terminal. Hope this helps.

    I just bought one in ASDA Hamilton. The PS5 Slims are £419, the standard consoles with Ragnarok bundled are scanning at £300

    Very good price if you're lucky enough to find one. I reckon you're better off with the original, a lot of people have said it's quieter than the slim

    I found the £300 deal in Asda, Rugby today but when I asked about it, they said they only had the slim in stock. I didn't even know new ps5 standards were sold any more. (edited)

    It’s very common for stores to have a “run out of space” section in the warehouse for older stock that’s not getting replenished and the shop floor staff aren’t aware the stock’s there until they do a stock audit.

    Remember seeing this and it almost triggering my interest, but knew it would be a goose chase, and stumbled across it accidently days later. Shocked! You now need to explain to my wife why the food shop was so expensive...

    In fact, the person almost gave me the slim. Was so close as they scanned the shelf for the OG, then got the slim box down thinking it was the same thing. Literally seconds away before the "oh, wait..." (edited)

    I have not checked my very local store but I was out and about today and visited one of the smaller stores in the region and they had one left so I bought it. 😁

    Just a note, the staff on the store floor were completely oblivious about this, and they even tried to convince me that the store only sold software and no consoles were available at this store.

    Due to my persistence they summoned Duty Manager, who was on the ball and straight away knew that they had some stock available. He offered check both, stock and prices, and advised that they had a couple Slims in stock and one original at £300.

    According to his comments, the original PS5 has been gathering dust in their stockroom for some time.

    So if anyone is looking to get one, be persistent and get management involved and get them to physically check their stock. Good luck! (edited)

    Seems that way, I was tempted to go to my two local Asdas last night but then remembered they always close the game section at 8pm and lock it so no one can get it. At least that what they say.
