Always worth a nose in TK Max for beans... On a good day you might find 1kg for around 7 or 8 quid, tops...the avrg is around 9, 10 or £11.... Well known brands too....

There are pretty good, in terms of quality I'm only comparing them to lavazza red and they're very similar for a fiver cheaper.

Just got espresso classic for 75% off in Birkenhead Aldi. £1.24!! Still one left 20 minutes ago

Bought these last week in Penrith, so assume it is national. Not opened yet, still going though a bag of Aldi branded beans which I'm not enjoying

Nationwide offer. Seen in a number of stores. Also have a darker roast version.
    Any good though?

Just wait for the coffeesnobberi to come along soon. They'll claim that because they haven't been roasted in the last 50 milliseconds by the hot breath of a dragon and been hand packed by mermaids under the personal supervision of the Pope, they can't possibly be any good.

It's a good price per kilo, but I'm always very wary of beans that don't state what type they are (100% arabica/robusta or blend)

Probably 50/50 for anything cheap marketed as 'crema'. Good for keeping in cupboard for when the inlaws visit. (edited)

Best to buy freshly roasted. Yes more expensive but the taste is very different.

Voted hot, great price for 1kg if they taste nice.

The if is critical I guess

Didn't smell too great through the bag I left it there

I always sniff the hole before trying the bean too. If it smells bad, I don’t go near it.

I picked a pack up in Wigan Aldi a couple of weeks ago. Imho much nicer than Lavazza Rossa and a few quid cheaper. Less bitter and more taste. None left in there now and the I’m at the end of the bag
