I am curious, is there a taste difference between gas and induction? hopefully not a stupid question

I asked AI for you as I couldn't be bothered to type

Gas stoves offer direct heat control and promote the Maillard reaction, enhancing certain flavors, while induction cooktops provide even heat distribution and may have slightly different cooking times. However, individual preferences, cooking techniques, and recipe variations also influence the final taste of dishes. Both methods can produce delicious results, with the choice between them often depending on personal preference and specific cooking needs.

The Maillard reaction is a chemical reaction between amino acids and reducing sugars that occurs when heat is applied to food. It is responsible for the browning, flavor, and aroma of cooked foods. This reaction typically happens at temperatures above 140°C (284°F) and is commonly associated with the browning of meat, bread crust, and roasted coffee beans, among other foods.

So seems not a stupid question

Induction hobs are great but worth noting this is a 13amp version so limited output. For example it won’t be able to boil two pans at the same time.

    I've got a 13amp neff version.

It will boil 2 pans but that's it.

To run a 3rd pan I need to sacrifice power from 1 of the others.

Don't forget to factor in the price of a new set of pans that are compatible!

Anything made from steel/iron or with a magnetic base will do.

There are a few folk here who seem to know a thing or two and I’ve a quick question if poss. What would happen if you had a higher amp hob but only had the wiring for a 13 amp hob previously? Would the new hob just be limited like the posts above say this is or would it blow the wiring in the house?

Hopefully, a circuit breaker would trip. Otherwise, the wires would heat up and could melt, and cause fire.
