Not sure if you'd know anything about the specifics - but sure why not ask? Lol.

I'm on the lookout for a dehumidifier, more for drying clothes. But coming into the summer, the Air Conditioning funtionality of this would be very useful for working from home. You think the dehumidifier function of this (or the orginal Vida post) would work just as well as a standalone (or even close?). It doesn't look like there is a water tank storage thingy - I'm wondering if that means it needs to have the hose attached to the outside world...

So both this and the 16k blow air upwards and will not directly cool you down unless you're standing on top of it?

Air conditioning is designed to cool an entire room, not be directional.

Was going to get the 16k BTU one, but reading the comments, if that doesn't work much better than a 10/12K one, how must this be? :/

It will always get the room to the same temperature no matter what the BTU, it's just the higher BTU ones do it quicker I believe
