All codes can be found HERE the codes are ones we worked on with aliexpress, new code has been added which ends tonight, code HOTSALE takes £100 off a £500 spend, making some of the below, absolute bargains, including the Oneplus 12 with mi band 8 for £408

As always, factor in potential customs charges, and some of the below may be Chinese version, and / or lacking band 20, the below are mainly self sourced, but credit to the ops of which the other below aren't

some bangers here, note the OP12 and Z60 Ultra have both dropped in price since last posted, as has the Poco F5

Hey Mr Switch, I know you repeat yourself over and over with the same questions but I'm mega tempted to pull the trigger on the OP12, it's a cracking price.

As it comes with the global rom pre installed, will that mean all banking apps, Google pay/wallet and Android auto will work? I've been browsing reddit but can't find a straight, answer for it
    menz83's avatar
I've researched xda, reddit etc trying to come up with answers. Banking apps will work as long as the bootloader has been locked. Can't get definitive answers for Google pay and Android auto.

What is of concern though is that Chinese OP12 devices manufactured this year will be region locked meaning you won't be able to make calls or send texts. Data will work fine. However I believe some sellers have removed the region lock. I've reached out to the seller on AliExpress for more info. (edited)

You should add Nubia Z50s Pro. It is SD8+ gen 2 but 1TB and 12gb RAM can be had for less than £400 with the code

I steered clear as the Z60 ultra is so close in price, but pretty amazing on the Z50s with massive storage option

Xiaomi 13 12+256 version is cheaper due to triggring a coupon for price above £400

Pulled the trigger on the Nubia Z60 Ultra too; seems like a great phone for nerds.

Done a fair bit of reading in anticipation of mine coming. There's a couple of bugs to be aware of potentially if you're not already. One is turning a setting off that then makes the under camera display a lot less visible. And the other is some notification settings and disabling the ai components to ensure you get them all. Fyi in case it helps.

Switchy how are you getting £408 + Mi band 8 for the Oneplus 12 mate?

Best I can do is £422 and no Mi band.

512 GB, you will get 100 GBP off.

Just a reminder that it is cheaper to pay in USD.

The OnePlus 12 deal posted above is at £408 when paying in GBP. Pay in USD and it is approx £384.24.

Just purchased the OnePlus 12 16GB/512GB with the discount WITHOUT the band for $540.60. Paid via a fee free card and it came to £428.33!
    rogersmore's avatar
price has just dropped it seems - down to £388.15 for the 16gb/512 when paying in USD
  8. campers's avatar
All of that list I think nubia z60 is the best bang for the buck
  9. Walkerscrisp's avatar
Couple of general questions. If the phone didn't have band 20, would it literally mean that it probably wouldn't have LTE? And would Google pay work without issue on anything bought from AliExpress? Assuming it wasn't a Chinese Rom.
    Kishibe_Noa's avatar
No, it depends on your network provider, but you are guaranteed to lose 4g in rural area.
second question, not 100% sure, but all comes down to if the bootloader was unlocked or not in order to flash global rom. (edited)

Which would you say is the best 8 Gen 3 phone to buy from the above list or a recommendation as I'm sure they all have pro's/cons.

    Thanks

I'd say it's the Oneplus 12 - Snapdragon, Gen 3 - Superfast and very close in speed to the S24 ultra.

Have bitten on a OP12. Let's hope customs have a slack day!
    Ouzoherb's avatar
It's not the customs fee it the handling charge by the courier that annoyed me £40ish fee on top of customs duty.
  12. Bobbite's avatar
No eSIM support on the OP12 it seems sadly (edited)

Oneplus 12, Z60, gt5 pro or something else in this price range? Big battery, big storage, good cameras, great screen, great software support, sd8g3, good speaker(s) are my main needs.

I want a pixel but I've been waiting since the pixel 6 for them to make one with a CPU/GPU good enough to match other mid range phones.
    taiko.786's avatar
i agree , only ever had a pixel 7 pro but the cpu/gpu was terrible and battery was a bit shite. (edited)

Thanks OP, based on the advice from vassy and mrswitch, have ordered myself a Nubia Z60.

On paper, it seems like a smashing candidate. Huge battery, unbloated Android, beautiful uninterrupted display and really good rear cameras.

Was tempted by OnePlus but a lot of the complaints about s/w bugs and confusion on Chinese version made me steer clear. Glad to finally move away from Xiaomi and try a new OEM that feels genuinely innovative. ZTE reminds me a little of LG once upon a time...

Does anyone know if the Nubia Z60 Ultra has a dac in it? Or does the headphone dongle need a dac in it?
  31. Bobbite's avatar
Was so tempted there by the OnePlus 12 1TB, but then have been having my eyes on the Honor Magic 6 pro. OP12 is much cheaper though :[
    Kushdy's avatar
Same boat, but magic 6 pro is Chinese rom only at the mo.
  32. Apple_314's avatar
Was the OP12 ~£420 for anyone rather than ~£408?
    Kushdy's avatar
I'm getting £422 but don't see the Mi band option anywhere.
  33. Tushar_SB's avatar
    Must check for OnePlus 12.

Sorry to ask a noob question, I am looking at the OP12 , its at £446 and if you scroll down a bit they have a code for "UK2480" which takes off £65 on over £400.

£446-£65= £381, have I worked that out correctly????
