    1Kg pizza flour
    600 ml water
    30 gm salt
    3 gm yeast
1 tin San Marzano plum tomato

    Pizza sauce:
    - San Marzano plum tomato
    - Add salt + pepper
    - Break plum tomatos into sauce.

    Dough:
    - put yeast in 200 ml water for 10 minutes
    - put 20% of flour in the water
    - put salt in the water.
    - slowly add rest of flour and water bit by bit.
    - make one big dough , rest for 16 hours
    - after 16 hours make about 200-250 g dough balls and rest for another 8 hours.
    - Roll pizza and put sauce + fresh basil + hard cheese (for veg) or parmesan OR mozzarella (For heaven's sake dont put any other cheese ... esp. Cheddar)

    Done (edited)

Thats a lot of salt. My recipe is 2tsp (14g) salt for 680g of flour. Well not my recipe, it's Peter Reinhart's recipe. I agree overnight prove is essential.

Plus you can just combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and add all the water, no need for all these "add 20% of flour to water, add yeast" shenanigans. It's not that complicated.  (edited)

    A few negatives with this:

    - recovery time been pizzas means it's difficult to cook more than two with good crust results because the thermostat kicks in and requires a period of cool down before the element is able to activate again (the lack of intense radiating heat from the active element makes bad pizza)

    - the need for an EU adapter even with a UK bought model is a bit of a nuisance (adapter is supplied with UK bought model)

    - unless you have experience of making pizza, the stone will get very marked with food debris very quickly (debris can be removed easily but stains can't be and although this doesn't affect the function it doesn't look very nice)

    - there was I think an older more powerful version which was closer to 2000/3000w and which was far superior in terms of recovery time and quality of results; there are online forums with various mod guides that involve altering the thermostat and also mods that involve installing additional elements (not recommended of course in terms of safety) (edited)

Actually it is possible to remove charring stains. I read this years ago and have been doing since. Leave machine on at maximum after pizza removed and within [X] minutes, almost all stains are gone. X varies on stain extent, but under 20 minutes (maybe 10-20).

I wonder if these are anywhere near as good as an Ooni pizza oven? I got an Ooni late last year and it is so good we never buy pizza either in a restaurant or for delivery. It enables you to make the best quality restaurant pizzas with ease.
    Jijin2's avatar
I have the Ariete from Lidl (looks identical to this one) and an Ooni and I can 100% say this is genius. 90% of the result with 20% of the effort for a non gas Ooni.

The weather in the UK is just too rubbish to use the Ooni consistently, with this one I can have an amazing pizza all year round.

We've been making pizzas in an air fryer. Absolutely amazing
    ck_'s avatar
For mini premade fresh ones or maybe the frozen mini Chicago town ones, yeah the air fryer is good!

These fezzari are great though, they can turn a £4 pizza from the local supermarket into something decent! And for pizza nights when you've homemade dough/sauce the results can be awesome.

Do these have a kettle lead or a fixed power supply, wouldn't be too keen on using an adapter with that wattage .
    p-e-t-e's avatar
Used one of these adapters (link below) for years, no fires yet, well not at the plug end!

Rated well above the wattage for the Ferrari - Euro Adapter (edited)

Bought last Sept. Took some practise but, with a little effort, lovely crispy base & whatever toppings you fancy. Tasty, inexpensive and affordable pizzas.

Their won't be any, under the rate for it, Amazon as a seller will always add on customs charges to the checkout price, if they're the seller and shipping it (edited)

Does anyone know if they'll honour their warranty if we use this in the UK?
    computerguy234's avatar
As long as you don't put Pineapple on your Pizza, the Italians should honour it

Nice. I let the dough rise for 8 hours to get the best bread. Canadian flour mixed to 00 Italian Florina is the perfect mix.
  12. Bladesof1889's avatar
Surely its better to purchase on the uk site? We would have to pay an import tax as its coming from the EU
    MrAkagi's avatar
I believe import tax is only for items above 135 quid, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Made this yesterday in the Ariete 909, a replacement for my broken G3...

    Pedro88's avatar
Nice. So if you have experience with both, which one you like better, Ariete?
  15. Cuddl3s's avatar
How does this compare to the halogen ones? Does this properly cook the underside of the base?
    LetsTalkTools's avatar
There is an element under the stone, that's what these ovens do well. Using a pizza stone in a fan oven takes ages to get hot and even then is not hot enough
  16. phillsmit3's avatar
Check out the Pizzapp app for making your dough. It customises the recipe depending how long you want to leave it for.

Got one similar from Facebook for 40, absolutely love it. Make naans at least once a week
    roger.bottoms's avatar
You make your old Nan pizzas once a week?? Lovely gesture...
  19. bil.hussain's avatar
It is one of those kitchen appliances. You use a few time and the novelty dies out at the end.

These are absolutely superb, they make even cheap pizzas taste good
    PsychoSonny's avatar
hate to tell you this but this is only for use with fresh dough. you must not be warming it up before using it for pre-cooked bases otherwise your base would be like charcoal
  24. DonnyJohn99's avatar
I've been using mine which I bought at this price two years ago ag least twice a month since I bought it from Amazon Italia. Use your own dough mix and you can make a cheap pizza night for the family as long as they all stay patient.

    Amazing oven, worth every penny.
  27. blootoon763's avatar
used one for may years, they are great as long as you preheat for 10 to 15 minutes
  28. griffdw's avatar
On the face of it, it seems to be much the same. The element design is possibly better on the G&P as it has a section which covers the centre of the pizza as opposed to the GFerrari which is circular. The former would give a more even heat distribution.
  29. Zeketron's avatar
    Just ordered. Thanks op
  30. FireFreeAFC's avatar
I've bought it... I've been tempted to get an ooni but xouldnt justify spending that much as I feel we wouldn't use it that much because of our horrible english weather.

This covers that issue for me completely. Use inside or connect it to the outside socket for the occasional summer nights.

    Perfect. Thanks OP (edited)
    Nino1's avatar
You think you get bad weather down south! you want to come up to Scotland, summer usually lasts about 2 weeks

    I prefer my Ooni (edited)
    mart321's avatar
I have an ooni and I love it but I also have a G3 Ferrari. Realistically, I only use the ooni for a few months a year with the weather so the G3 is great.

This is an excellent price for this BTW. I paid a similar price probably 7-8 years ago for one.
  35. W77's avatar
If its Italian will it go mad if you try to put pineapple onthe Piza

I have something similar that I paid £89 for, however, it has paid for itself, I have stopped buying dominos. The ones I make are very good. If I could afford it, I would buy one of those wood fired ones, that cost a grand. The next thing I need is a dough press.
    richteabiscuit's avatar
Dough press is gonna squeeze all the air out your base surely? No lovely airy cornicione if you use one of those.
