sorted byOn the other hand if you don't get this you can make a 'free trial' account which will have no monthly subscription fee and access to the exact same content with a few social restrictions to prevent real money trading. If you can live with the restrictions you can essentially play the base game and first two expansion for free for an unlimited time which is a fantastic deal, although will need to buy the base game when/if you decide you want more if this perk expires.
So if you're absolutely sold I'd get the starter edition for free but for anybody dipping a toe in I'd recommend giving it a miss and sticking with the 'free trial' instead. They'll probably extend it to 80 at some point after the next expansion in summer also.
Another life lesson- do not buy games if you own Game Pass already…
