About this deal

Aimed the young ones to manage their fluff with a more gentle shave, but perhaps you might enjoy this as a hirsute person in 'those' areas.

Fundamentally identical to the normal version, but with a different blade.

For your First Shave - tough on hair, gentle on skin.

Bullets:
- OneBlade First Shave has unique OneBlade technology which gives you a fast and clean shave while caring for your skin.
- The blade has an anti-friction glide coating to give an especially comfortable shave, reduce razor burn and protect from nicks and cuts.
- OneBlade First Shave can be used wet or dry, with or without shaving foam for convenient use in the shower.
- Shave in either direction with the dual-sided blade: designed for precision and control.
- USB-A charging (plug not included) makes it convenient to charge on the go.

Is this any different to the standard OneBlade?

I know it says it's for the 1st time shaver, but did they create a blade for very light 15yr old facial hair, or is this just marketing and its the same blade you'd get on a standard OneBlade?

    A good question.

A little bit of google work shows they claim to have added a layer of "glass beads" to reduce friction.
Comparing the pictures, there's a blue layer on top of the cutting layer on this, whilst the standard one has a metallic cover.
Since "glass" isn't usually blue, I presume the marketing department have have decreed some colour must be added to make it look different.
Glass beads would also fall off, so either they're melted into a glass sheet and are no longer beads, or are embedded in some adhesive or plastic. The adhesive/plastic option is probable, considering safety.

Changing anything else would cost money, so why would they ?

I also imaging it might not cut as close, with a thin layer between the cutter and the skin.

20 quid for the unit alone is really good. I got a set from boots with the "360 head" for 33, with 2 blades and a few attachments.

My old shaver unfortunately died after about 5 years and I had one blade that lasted a few years, I know! Still did my neck and beard great so cannot complain at all no nicks or scratches either. These are well worth the money and easy to maintain

Anyone going near "those areas" with a One Blade better have a blood kit handy!

I don’t know if these blades are a gimmick or would be good for close shaving with sensitive skin (eczema).
