sorted byHaving used a a similar Inspiron 15 model, only complaint I have is with its hinge mechanism and how the top lid unfolds under the base. Poor design.
One hinge on my laptop broke after 2 months of use. Sent to Dell under warranty and it came back repaired after a month with multiple dents on body and camera issues. DId not bother for re-repair.
Besides this it works great. (edited)
Can anyone confirm what the max memory upgrade is on this (assuming a extra stick to 16gb), if it can be changed?
Same for the the storage will it accept a 1 or 2tb M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD?
cheers

I can pick up the ram for about tenner (many to chose from) as many have said here, so that not a issue!
Just want the SSD to be brand new, wanted to check if the above SSD is a good average price for a NVMe SSD (never bought one before)! The 2TB seem to be around the 110 mark!
Cheers
Any good prices out there for a 1- 2tb nvme and 8gb ram stick?
Might get a win 10 pro key and do a clean install with the 2 upgrades.
Anyone done that before with a new basic laptop or have you just transferred the smaller SSD to bigger SSD.
Not sure what's included software wise, just thinking how much bloatware is included within the factory software.
I'd try CEX for a cheap 8GB DIMM.
I don’t have any knowledge about computers
thanks in advance
Take a look at this, it is the 12th Gen equivalent but uses the same integrated GPU.
It's incredible that after all these years they haven't changed the design (edited)
Extremely HOT
It all depends if power saving mode lowers the screen refresh rate tbh

and with a slot free for another stick!
The SDD is a Kioxia mini 256gb and there seems to be a bay for a another SSD - next to the battery. Can anyone confirm this?
Just so i know as i'd prefer to order from Dell (assuming it's not a long wait like the last order that got cancelled)
