    Is that including flights?
    memyselfmash's avatar
Yes, Flights and transfers and 300 Euro spending money per person.

The irritating part is that it does not include airport parking, so have voted cold

Heat for a school holiday deal!

It is a deal, but if you fly, the cost of the flights brings this up to £1,500 for a family of 4. Which is ashame, I bet you can fly there now for £50 return...

Has anyone tried booking flights there instead of driving?

I flew to Bordeaux then hired a car. Cheap flights and car hire at the time so price overall was cheaper than ferry as I remember. Went for car hire after giving up trying to get there by public transport - think I'd concluded I'd need taxis to get there on the final stretch. Great holiday though - well worth it. Site great and beach is walkable. Car is a good choice to visit nearby beautiful towns (one seaside town is walkable nr the site) but you could just about manage without one if you can find your way there in the first place. Site has a decent supermarket. Also fun activities next door to parc. (edited)

Omg! Went here as a kid, twice! Second time round we got stuck because of the petrol strike so couldn’t get any fuel anywhere! What a place ha!

About £250 for Dover to Calais ferry then just the cost of fuel and tolls.

About 10 hour drive from Calais (edited)

Probably better off looking at the June weather as it is right at the end of May so will be better

This is a great price considering it is school holiday. The sad part is that for a family of 4, the flights are about £1,100 to Biarizz. We paid about £1,500 for the same period of time, going to a campsite near Perpignan.

Does anyone know of a eurocamp that is a reasonable taxi fare away from an airport? Thanks
    rik111's avatar
yes, lots of them. But which country would you like ?

Could go earlier in May and combine with a £42 Edinburgh to Biarritz return. Fly out for a week from May 9

End of stay cleaning included (except France)
Not sure if this is included in the contribution to costs and taxes or extra.

Out of curiosity, would you usually buy food from the restaurants or get it from nearby superettes?
    adam_8276's avatar
Big food shop. You tend to have a kitchen and BBQ. Depends if you have a car/hire car there with you I guess.

If only this included the ferry...

That’s a fair drive to do for a week, especially taking into account your distance from the port on this side. We used to split the journey and do an overnight.

Does anyone know which is the closest airport to this site please?
