I bought last time at this price. For this money I wouldn't bother and would put the money against something else.
The positives are that it's a really good keyboard and is very light. Unfortunately I only get around 5 hours battery life in windows.
I wanted to using it for coding and therefore put linux on it. It was a bit of a pain to get it all running and I wasted quite a bit time. I have quite a nice Ubuntu setup on it now but battery life is around 4 hours and still some things like the camera isn't supported. Speakers on windows are ok. Speakers on Ubuntu are not really usable in my opinion. (edited)

4 hours is pretty shocking. I can get 6-8 hours web dev / SSMS, VS studio from my Asus flow x13 with a much more powerful 5980HS on windows 11 albeit with a 75Wh battery (edited)

IMHO the cashback info is misleading. First the cashback is only open to businesses and not to individual customers. Second the max cashback is the cost of the accessory, so the total price after cashback will never be lower than 399.98 quid.

during the Promotion Period (specified below) will be eligible to receive a cashback amount equal to the lower of (i) the purchase price of the Accessory, or (ii) the applicable cap corresponding to the Qualifying Product purchased which is shown here, and in any case subject to a maximum of £200.00/€235.00 (Reward).

    Business only

Worth mentioning that there's a MAJOR Windows update coming this year for Windows on ARM devices that will make them run a LOT faster. Early reports indicated app emulation better than Apple's Rosetta 2. (edited)

    The Lenovo cashback website states:
"Purchase a qualifying Lenovo product and qualifying accessory from an authorised Lenovo reseller between 1st April 2024 - 30th June 2024 to receive cashback for the cost of your accessory."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't think that means you'll get the laptop for £306.05?

    • Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 8 core processor?!! <-- what will be the performance?!

It has a CPU Passmark score of almost 12K, which is pretty good - here's a comparison to 3 other chips close to it in performance cpubenchmark.net/com…50H
I have a laptop with an i3-7100 (2-cores, 2017), which is a third of the performance of this cpubenchmark.net/com…100 & runs basics tasks easily, so this should be a significant step up. (edited)

Did another battery test yesterday. Charged to full. Watched youtube, with a single tab open in edge. Nothing else running. Had brightness as max because the screen it quite dim. Switched off bluetooth and 5g. At 20% battery it automatically dimmed the screen to about 70% brightness. I ended up getting 6.5 hours until the battery went dead and the machine shut off. (edited)

I am getting at least 8 hours minimum just doing office productivity. Bluetooth on - probably same brightness. I even have McAfee installed.

If you are watching youtube maybe its the video eating the battery? Also battery saver would be fine for watching video?

If I’m reading it right, you get the value of the accessory back as the cashback amount, with the £100 being the maximum. Don’t think it’s £100 if you buy any accessory.

Cheers guy! I apologise for the way how I wrote the cashback terms. Right, max £100 in the value of the accessory.

Just got this laptop without any accessories / can I get them now, later?

I have to say love the laptop for the money. Battery is phenomenal, it’s 5g, it’s quick to restart and a brilliant Microsoft ecosystem machine. It’s a perfect corporate buy if you live in planet Microsoft and needs films, a browser and brill battery life. And fanless!
I personally don’t think you can get a better brand new business laptop for the money.

Whats the catch for it being Windows 11 Pro (on ARM)? What can i not do vs. an original basic windows laptop? Thanks

Snapdragon processors on laptop sounds cool and very energy efficient. I just don't know the limits ARM introduces to some gaming, office tools, and android apps.

Tempted by this but would prefer a 2-in-1... Is it worth waiting for the new Snapdragon X laptops in the summer? They'll probably cost twice as much though.
