No WiFi or Bluetooth printing I suppose and probably issues with Chromebook connecting

Add a USB2.0 To RJ45 Ethernet Extension Extender Adapter Cable for printer for ~£5, then plug into router's ethernet port.

Good buy if you can put up with lack of wifi. Small footprint and cheap compatible toner. I've used this model before. Heat.

Is it easy to connect with any widows macs and Chromebooks does it comes with drivers cd?

I've got the 1210w from Viking at £72 a couple of months ago. With 1st order discount. TCB was declined because I've used the voucher.
I've got that one because of the small form factor and because the ink is cheap. Also, I wanted wifi. I can't say how good or bad it is, as I've not set it up. Was on my list to do it today, but life with kids will delay this again.
Came with CD, but you can download the driver online. As far as I remember, it does not have a printer cable (not standard USB), but I've got one. My old printer was on a shelf quite about 1.5m high up from the plug, and the Brother power cable is too short for that setup. Also, it seems that the driver is Win/Mac only, so not sure if I can use it with Chromebook. (edited)

USB2.0! That's taking it back a bit. When was this model released? Is the bargain because it is Laser?

Also, unless you love eBuyer, this seems to be cheaper at Viking Direct. (edited)

I think you get 15% off at Viking for the first order. I found a code online a couple of months ago when I've got my printer from them.

Or £10 off subscribing to their newsletter:

How much does it's toner costs?
    addsimpson's avatar
Around £12 for two, some places even sell indivual toners for £6 each

Great item I got one 2 years ago from Argos, for around £80. I am yet to even change the cartridge because it’s lasted so long. I use it around once a week to print postage labels and haven’t had any issues so far great quality product would 100% recommend.

Prints in black and white only* to be used for basic needs only. (edited)

Got this a few years ago for 50 quid. It's really good. I don't use it for ages then when I do it works like a charm. Quick cheap and good for basic needs.
    adamg02's avatar
Exactly. And like you say, unlike inkjet, sits there for months and then just works. No clogged nozzles or yellow running out.

ebuyer email me saying printer out of stock! Waste of my time and now forced to waiti for a refund before i can buy elsewhere. Would rather buyer from Amazon in the future....

Why are they still making printers without wireless? Even if you do not need it, every printer should have it.

    It's a 2015 Printer...

Got the 2400 wireless model 2 months ago from Rymans for £95 with £20 cashback, thought the offer was auto but found had to order at time of purchase, so got in touch with Brother, a week later got cashback. Printer works perfect as does service from Brother.

Does this work with GTA 5?
    umirza85's avatar
Aww, you youngins. I remember when it was Crysis

This is great for what it is. If you want wifi, duplex, scanning and copying them pay more money for another model which supports these things. If not go for this. Remember that you are saving space as well as money 34 x 18.9 x 23.8 cm (WHD) and 4.5kg. is something which could fit on a shelf or move around easily and you may find it hard to get this convenience elsewhere. Same size and weight for the 1210w model, but that one comes with wifi. Paid £72 for that one a couple of months ago. For such a small difference in price (it you still can find it at that price), I'd rather have Wifi. I purchased it mainly for the small form factor.

any recommended printer sub £100 which is cheap to run (toners), double sided, colour and wifi enabled?

currently using the HP ones, got 2 but thinking i'll change to the non sub model.
    umirza85's avatar
Same here, looking for a cheap one that can do double sided and has any sort of network connectivity

I bought this the last time it was posted from Viking good bit of kit for the price.
    tas_01's avatar
Sorry, might be a daft question but is this just both colour or just black and white printer?
  17. tommyboy81's avatar
Bought this a few years ago after getting p 'd off with my Inkjet cartridges drying up. It's perfect for the odd print of something that needs printing.

How much toner does this come with
    sheffield788's avatar
    700 pages worth.
  20. tommyboy81's avatar
I've no idea, I've probably printed 100ish sheets in the past 4 yrs, still going. It's definitely not the best quality printing, but ultimately it prints stuff when you need it. (edited)

Thanks for the deal. Dont care about wifi. In fact its one less problem if something goes wrong with the unit. Got a bunch of USB 2.0 Cables lying around but they really should have been included in the packaging.

Fab printer for postage labels. I have the WiFi version so could print easy from phone. Lack of colour not even an issue in the grand scheme of things. Perfect for occasional use vs ink printer. Still running on the original toner cartridge it came with.
    sheffield788's avatar
What app do you use, if you don't mind? Thanks!
  23. sheffield788's avatar
Slightly cheaper at Viking if you sign for their newsletter:
