sorted byI would recommend Miele, you pay double but will last a decade.
According to Which? statistics, AEG is second in reliability, Miele being top. The difference is quite small though, given that the Miele price is twice the AEG price.
Proportion faulty in the first 7 years:
Miele 5%
AEG 7%
(Hoover, for comparison, 15%)
Take this as a heads-up when purchasing, could just be a bad unit I received, luck of the draw, but..... Lastly, don't believe the bullsh*t engineers spout when insisting something is fine when it clearly isn't and escalate it.
AEG is just a fancy electrolux. Would avoid buying from them.
