Do these guys increase the price every year with RPI and inflation etc being the reason? I've now started avoiding phone contracts with this sneaky tactic and also going to apply the same to broadband, there's plenty of providers out there that don't do this. Sky, Virgin etc increased their prices by around 9%. It's just wrong, a contract price should mean fixed.

My Plusnet went up in price but yet they're still advertising my old price on their website, I won't be going with them again!!!

Now do an annual price increase but not linked to RPI and not in April. They just do it at random. Last year it was July I think. But the important part to note is when you get the notification, you get given the chance to leave without penalty if you don't accept the new price.

Check the TrustPilot reviews. I suspect there are a few loyal Now BB customers who will leap to their defence but I’d read and consider the TrustPilot reviews before signing up.

While I agree that Now Broadband isn’t great, I wouldn’t read too much into TrustPilot reviews. Lots of good companies get rated down, and lots of bad companies get rated up. Review manipulation happens a lot when competitors or a minority of dissatisfied customers brigade against a specific brand, or likewise when a bad company aggressively pushes or incentivises customers to leave a good review.

I’d personally recommend on relying on word of mouth. Speak to friends, family and neighbours about their experiences. This is especially helpful since it will give you an idea of what they are like in your specific area since experiences do vary from region to region.

thanks but not for me. I am locked into 26/m for 6 months. Having watched Miami F1 race now regretting it, What an absolute mess of a presentation. It's gone all Yankee, and I am outa NOW after that nonsense..........

Just ditched them after they increased my monthly subs by 90% without telling me, after ensuring me it wouldn't change at the end of my contract.Customer service was awful.

The problem is when you need a human to help, it is very, very, very difficult to get one. I am currently with Now, but will never use them again.

Never had a problem with the broadband, always get informed if a price rise is coming. They are also the cheapest supplier round here.
It appears some posters on this deal are confusing the Broadband and TV sides of the business

I don’t have it now, but had it before. It was absolutely fine and as reliable as any

6 years and no complaints. Swap emails when signing up every 12 months to get the new customer cashback

Not available in my area. Nothing is available in my area but walk 10 steps outside my house and 2 floor flats all have hyperoptic etc.

I've been with Now for 3 years now using an old Sky router. Didn't plug in the Now router - reviews say it's awful. Their price increase email in March was a bit misleading but I phoned and haggled them down. Speed is good (London) 80 mbps for me. It's basically Sky.
    mooo's avatar
Yeah, their router is awful. I use a third-party TP Link Router and never have any problems.

Went with this last time they did the offer, I was on standard Now Broadband and managed to get a mid-contract upgrade to Fibre 100. They technically switch you over to Sky Broadband if you go with this one so I'm now considered a Sky broadband customer and can ask for speed upgrades via Sky. Good way to escape the Now Broadband contract early.

Just to let Everyone know that you can't use Now BB  payment as direct debit just in case you need to meet that bank reward requirement. I had the issue when I switched banks they transferred all my other direct debit but not NOW BB when I asked them they said it comes off the Card as a charge so I lost the switching bonus.

    I wish, just re-signed in March, 60mb speed, 1 year contract £31.
Ohh don't worry, I'm willing to buy out the contract and move on. (edited)

Won't let me have the deal as I have somehow become a sky customer because I have a rolling contract with now broadband haven't had a sky contract for 10 years this has only happened recently as last year I checked for sky broaband and was offered deals then. (edited)

I just cancelled my contact with them. £30 for less than 50Mbps is a rip off these days. The connection wasn't stable in peak time as well. I'm not saying it's a bad broadband provider, but it's definitely not worth it price. I chose Trooly 900mbps for the same price. Here is a speed from mobile

My contract with Now ran out, 2 months ago, they let me recontract to the super fibre for £24 a month which was the best deal at the time, I noticed it's now £21 per month, but I'm still happy with the deal, had no problems in 3 years. The router is pants though, I will agree on that.
