Do these refurbed iPads from Apple tend to show any signs of wear and tear or screen scratches etc?

From what I’ve been told Apple completely refurbished everything so it looks pretty brand new. They also offer AppleCare on refurbish products as well.

For fun I specced up one of the new m4 ones this morning. Including keyboard (£350) and apple pencil, and nano textured glass whatever that is, the 2tb one came to over £3000!

Bearing in mind the base storage spec has increased to 250GB I personally think the new OLED Ipad Pro 13" price of £1299 is pretty good. I was looking on Amazon last week and the old model with 256GB was £1259. Most people won't need or want 1 or 2GB storage (for which Nano Glass is an option).

So yes, I have preordered one. (edited)

£600 for a used tablet from 3 years ago.... (edited)

Any iPad with an M-series chip should hold its value really well. They're incredible, best-in-class tablets and are far more enticing at these second-hand prices compared to their ridiculous release RRP.

I use an S9 Ultra because my use-case is primarily media consumption, but if I had to do anything remotely professional an M-series iPad Pro would be a no-brainer. (edited)

Currently using one of these (but 512gb storage).
Handles all tasks easily, excellent battery life too.

Surely the new 11” IPad Air at £599 with M2 processor for 128gb and 256gb for £699 is a better buy than this 3 year old model?

iPad Pro has a better screen, better speakers, better mics and better cameras. M2 isn’t that much better than M1. (edited)

Just for context, i bought this iPad (but with 1tb storage, which also means 16gb ram) about 12 months ago from Costco for £755. Brand new.

I know the exterior and battery tend to get replaced in the manufacture refurbs but at this point, this seems a bit expensive to me.

Costco smashed it last year with the ipad deals!

    This seems quite expensive.

I bought my first tablet and first apple product, a 12.9” M1 5g 128gb from Sky in October 2021.

£25 monthly over 48 months. Will cost £1200 when done. Also gave me a free SIM with unlimited calls and texts, only 100mb data but unlimited Sky Go.

There wasn't much difference to the M2 the following year.
The new M4 doesn't appear to have many extra features either (edited)

Apple is selling the brand-new iPad Air with an M2 chip for £599 now. How could this refurbished M1 iPad Pro be a good deal?
    Deal_Er's avatar
Which macbook would you buy for the same price - M1 pro or M2 air?

Personally I would stump up the extra money for the OLED screen. (edited)

Is there much difference running the new AAA games (Resi Evil etc) on the M1 gen ipad pros vs the M2 ones pls?
