Anyone got any experience with this?
Looking for a label maker and not sure if to try this or just get a dymo

Yeah I have one. I use it to label containers and stuff. Labels are small and are not UV resistant. So sun will fade it. But if it's not in sunlight it's completely fine. App is fine too. Easy to use

Thought I may need one but then realised I am 54 and I don't think I have ever labelled anything in my life so not sure I would use it

Never too late to become a labelist and form your OCD around it, if you ask me.

What is the cost of label refills?
    axum's avatar
About 50% of the cost of the thing in the first place!

Warning... I bought one of these and love it,  but if you use 'compatible' labels, the printer knows and will only apply like 10% heat to the label, making the text very light grey instead of black.

At first, I thought it was a dodgy batch of compatible labels, but after I peeled off the small NFC Sticker from the original roll, and placed it on my compatible ones, it printed fine...  this means it does it on purpose to make you buy the originals.

My workaround is going to be buying the Official labels in the various sizes I need,  then buy compatible ones as they are much cheaper, and just transfer the NFC Sticker to the rolls.

It's a bit cheeky of the company to do this, but all printers do this in one form or another.

Do you have a link to the compatibles please?

I was umming and ar-ing at £11 as I wanted the b21 printer that does 2" labels, but saw it was also 9.89 yesterday so just bit the bullet.. if anyone knows where to get cheaper labels (that work - sounds like Niimbot RFID their official ones)

Thought I managed to haggle a good deal from a seller on ebay for one of these recently at £13.20 delivered (less some Quidco or TCB) but this is even cheaper and will likely arrive sooner than mine did. Heat.

    Thanks OP.

Good price, mine was £14 ish

Labels aren’t cheap on Amazon but a lot cheaper direct from Niimbot
    cheekster's avatar
Is this the site that you ordered from?

    Thanks.

Just bought one, for the price of two pints of beer it's decent. Wanted something to label the different plugs in the house, as there are so many. Probs will only use it for that, so cheap and decent.

    Beer and electrics....

I have the D11, which is very similar. The kids have a great time making labels which include images and icons. House is now covered in them though. :-)
I bought from Ali Express for a similar price, although I was able to order a job lot of the stickers at the same time. You can also get clear stickers. (edited)

I appreciate everyone’s use case might be different but having never owned a label printer before and I just recently purchased one of these Nimbot D110 printers, what sized labels would the seasoned label printer aficionados on here recommend for general use? I’m looking at purchasing direct from Nimbot and they have what seems like a wide range of different labels.

My two initial planned uses will be to label cables (something I have thought about and wanted to do for years) plus adding labels to my large and growing collection of dupe fragrances from The Essence Vault. Each bottle is clear with just a basic white label displaying a number. There is no mention of which fragrance it is a dupe of which doesn’t make selecting one easy at all. I’ll probably get a 12mm x 75mm label for that latter so I can add the label to the spine and line them up on shelves like books in a library.

    Thanks.

I have a thermal label printer that prints out 6x4 Postal labels. Will mine be able to use any size stickers? Like those ones and the small round ones etc?
