Some excellent sounding earbuds!

  • I have the "Auvana Ace 2" (which are more like the Pro version of these, as opposed to a 'version 2', and only really benefit from additional codec support), and they sound great. The ANC isn't anything to praise, but the sound quality is where the money has been spent here (with the xMEMS drivers - new solid-state audio tech). The ambient mode is very good too, very clear pass-through when it's required, when I compare with previous buds that I have owned e.g. Creative Outlier Pro.

£67.49 with the on-page 50% voucher (free P&P), down from £134.99

how's the bass on these with new driver tech? I lost one of my Outlier Pros recently so was looking to upgrade but it was a bit of a jump at rrp!

They're not as bassy out of the box, unlike other Creative buds, but they're still capable and just need an EQ adjustment if you want more bass back The lows and mids (I think) are still produced with the older tech by the way, the highs with the xMEMS thingy.

I believe the next version of xMEMS is meant to cover the whole range, so that could be interesting! Expect some great battery life when they come around

Better buying a cheap Chinese brand like SoundPeats or Earfun. Creative are pretty much exactly the same. Certainly not the quality that they were 20+ year ago.
