Do you need any extra module to make it work? For sample: Philips hue has bridge

    Ps. This? yalehome.co.uk/yal…it/

You don’t need anything else for stand-alone mode, but if you want to sync it to an app/alarm system then you have to buy a module and use their bridge or like a smart things bridge (z-wave 2)

Check-in from anywhere in the world, grant virtual keys, view your door lock/unlock the history and receive real-time notifications, in the event that your door is unlocked unexpectedly. To perform remote functionalities, choose from the Yale Sync Module (perfect if you own the Yale Sync Smart Alarm) or Yale Access Module and Connect Wi-Fi Bridge (ideal if you do not own a Sync product). All of this is made possible via the Yale Home App. Once connected to the App, you can secure, monitor and manage access to your home through your mobile device*. Tailored to suit your needs, all you need is your smartphone and with one tap, lock or unlock the door with ease.

The power is in your hands. Send virtual keys to friends and family so they can gain access to your home when you are out and about. You can also monitor who comes and goes, knowing when your loved ones arrive home safely. Virtual keys can be scheduled or made permanent for ultimate control of your home. You can also manage who can enter your property by disabling or deleting users through the App.

*A Sync Module or Access Module and Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge is required to access these features. Product sold separately. (edited)

These are stand alone deadlocking latch.
    They are not ip rated.
They are suitable for timber doors typically, anywhere where you have or could have a yale type lock fitted.
A stiled gate will not accept the latch. You need a timber thickness of 40mm min really.

Does anyone know if these locks have a formal IP water resistance rating as when I have looked for smart door locks in the past, all but the most expensive did not & were only suitable for use in an apartment block or on a door protected by a porch.....no good living in Yorkshire with a door that is regularly battered by the elements, I need an IP66 minimum. Will this fit on a bog standard outdoor gate?

Anyone know what the insurance situation is with these?
If my home is broken into, and I have one of these locks will I be covered? (edited)
