Innovative universal ester-containing fully synthetic premium engine oil for modern gasoline and diesel engines with and without turbocharging. Designed based on the requirements of European car manufacturers.

Product properties:
- Ester technology and a synthetic base with an optimal range of viscous-temperature properties ensures efficient operation of the engine in all operating modes (during cold start, in urban mode, in track mode) and in conditions of frequent temperature change patterns;
- Synthetic ester-containing base combined with a modern additive package preserves engine power parameters throughout the entire interval between replacements;
- The ester oil components provide excellent anti-wear and anti-friction properties due to the exceptional strength of the oil film, which, combined with excellent pumpability, significantly increases engine life even in "start-stop" driving modes and during cold start;
- Saves fuel due to low HTHS viscosity and optimal anti-friction properties;
- Due to the high thermo-oxidative stability, it effectively resists aging;
- Due to its excellent washing and dispersing properties and the highest thermal oxidative stability, it effectively fights against all types of deposits and keeps engine parts clean throughout the entire interval between replacements.

Designed for gasoline and diesel engines of a wide fleet of cars (cars, light utility vehicles, vans and light trucks) of European and other manufacturers.
Recommended for use in engines of Daimler and VW vehicles with additional requirements for engine oils (according to the above specifications).

    This is an older spec oil - basically for older cars - older than 2010. This is why it is cheap.

    Newer cars ( especially diesels) usually need a higher spec SN- C3 or A5/B5 oil.
    If your car has wet belts ( cam belts that run in oil) , then definitely stick to the exact grade the manufacturer recommends to help avoid problems.

    Fords generally specify A5/B5 oil ( even though its bad for DPFs on diesel cars ) i am guessing to protect the wet belts . I have a normal cambelt on my mondeo diesel , so i am using C3 oil which gives a better balance between engine wear and being good for exhaust filters.

    Oil grades are a total nightmare now

    The monnol oil site is not great when out reg all three random ones come up. Don't think it's right one for my juke.. Think I need c3 or a5/b5.. All very confusing!

    What is the difference between this one and the other Mannol stuff here:

    ebay.co.uk/itm…080

    Different seller, but seems the same spec. What am I missing? As others have said, all the diffreent types of oil are rather confusing.

    The one you've linked is A3/B4. Just one thing is it's suitable for BMW LL-04 Which the one in the OP isn't

    Do not trust the Mannol website oil finder. Many Ford vehicles require 0W-20 oil that conforms to Ford WSS-M2C952-A1. The oil suggested by the Mannol site is the wrong viscosity and specification. If the vehicle has a wet belt, the correct oil is vital.

    Anyone else getting hit with £15.25 postage? Or is it just because I'm in NI.

    I wish Carousel would take more care in their descriptions of the oil. Their descriptions do not match what is written on the back of the containers in the picture. Which is correct? The picture or the description? What am I buying? API SN or SL etc etc?

    On that basis I would not buy this at all, and I am a fan of Mannol.
