The design is a bit silly because you are stuck with a short usb cable.

Not something I would buy because it would be constantly getting in the way.

It's deliberately short to reduce the current drop at 5V. Some USB ports can't deliver high current and a long cable would cause issues. (edited)

I’d personally avoid buying an enclosure with a non-removable cable as chances are, it will bend and break at some point over time.

I bought this SABRENT enclosure for £7.99 twice (currently £9.99) and they work really well. If the cable bends and breaks, it can easily be replaced: amazon.co.uk/SABRENT-enclosure-indicator-tool-free-EC-UASP/dp/B00OJ3UJ2S (edited)

Don't like the permanently attached cable. It should make it cheaper. These are available from a Chinese seller for quite a bit less than this; so they should be, there's really very little there. So voted cold
