Retailers are extending their return policies for Christmas: Full List of Shops Extending Returns Policies for Christmas

Was looking at Projector deals for the mancave and this looks good with Android TV built in too so no sticks to plug in. HDR10 and built in Dolby Digital Plus speak on board makes for a nice package. In addition with Amazon the returns policy is spot on so think I'll be giving this one a whirl.

Thanks for looking all, have a top day!

Spec as below:

  • Cinema in Your Home: Cosmos’s radiant 1080p, 810-ANSI-lumen image features HDR10 so you can watch favourite movies, sports events, games, and more as if you were there in person.
  • Upscale Everything: Cosmos breathes new life into your old DVDs, videos, and even live TV broadcasts thanks to Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG). It automatically detects when you’re watching non-HDR content and upscales it in real-time so everything you watch looks sensational.
  • Sensational Sound: Cosmos’s speakers deliver 360° of true audio courtesy of Dolby Digital Plus. Hear every moment as if you were in the cinema itself.

Adjust the size of the 4K supported projector’s image right from the comfort of your couch with the digital zoom. There’s no need to get up—simply use the remote to find the size that suits your home.

Every Moment Matters
Wave goodbye to motion blur. Dynamic Smoothing keeps everything looking crisp and clear when the on-screen action begins to heat up.

It’s a waste to watch movies on a tiny phone screen. Use Chromecast to stream content straight from your phone to the 4K supported projector’s huge 120-inch picture.

Convenient Connectivity
Get more from Cosmos by connecting up and playing content from your favorite USB-A and HDMI devices. You can even wirelessly connect to Cosmos via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or mirror cast from your phone or laptop.

You ain't finding a better projector in this category range for this price. Owned it before general release and its excellent and at £400 nothing touches it. (edited)

I’m not sure about that, xgimi have a couple of good ones, freestyle can also be found around the 400-450 mark. I’d say those are better.

Android 9, Dolby Digital Plus and other semi useful acronyms. Basically multiple ancient technologies dressed up to look like they are not ancient. All crammed into what they think is a futuristic looking form factor. (edited)

This projector came out a few years ago. It may feel ancient now because the technology moves on very fast. I've looked at this in the past and I've not seen it anywhere near this price
Saying this, the fact is much cheaper now, does not necesarily make it a good deal.

I have been using a cheap Chinese projector for years now. For £175 you cannot possibly go wrong. Been itching to upgrade for a while because this is how we watch telly now. Any one used a 4K version of this product? Any feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks

I’ve got the 4K version and for what I paid for it I love it. I use it as a ceiling mount in a dedicated home movie set up with a NAD T778 an Apple 4K box and a Reavon DVD player. Pros, good picture, auto focus, easy to use. Cons, at this price point only one which is it’s not great unless you can get your room pretty dark. (edited)

How does this do in environments that aren't pitch black? I previously bought the Samsung freestyle and was disappointed with the brightness
    sheffield788's avatar
This is 800 lumens. My LG projector is 1000 lumens. It only looks OK in dark rooms.

Can this project onto the ceiling like the Samsung freestyle? Also does it have a battery pack?
    Rbaj's avatar
I doubt you can project on ceiling with this. It is good for putting on a mount or on a table to watch. It will only work with main power supply. Just to add power supply also has a power brick in case you are installing it on mount.

could this update to any newer Android versions?

As far as I see, unless Anker really enthusiastic about this, it won't happen.
As Anker is only interested in churning out new fancy expensive models, I wouldn't think it's a possibility

Thanks OP, I've gone for this. Did anyone else get one? Happy with it?

Yes arrived yesterday. I had a cheap but decent £80 projector before and this is a nice upgrade. Good quality, decent sound and quiet too… thanks OP (edited)
