My sons PC doesnt have a graphics card and he wants one. What should I be checking before buying one of these?

psu - wattage and Amperage on 12v rail, right connectors
    motherboard - type of pci-E
case - whether there is enough clearance for the gpu
cpu - whether it's fast enough to support the GPU

+ other important factors such as amount and type of ram memory, good enough case ventilation to handle extra heat, resolution of monitor and games the GPU is needed for

...or just provide models and someone will surely help you (edited)

Rx 6750 xt is about 15-20% faster but has less vram (not a big issue at this level of performance, 12gb should still suffice) (edited)

Nice find, pretty awful performance for a 16 GB card though?

Yup, pointless having 16gb, just like the 4060 ti

Worth the upgrade from a 5700xt or are there better options?
    Aretak's avatar
It's only ~25% faster than a 5700 XT. I'd want a bigger upgrade than that from a new card, personally.
  7. Boneruk's avatar
    i think 4060

Tempted to get this for my nephew. He currently has a 5700x, 6500 xt (8GB) and the steel legend x570 will match the GPU design

ive a 1080ti is this a worthwhile upgrade, only really play MW3
    EliTeAP's avatar
Compared to a 1080Ti you'll get around a 7% performance increase for this price.

I'd personally invest a bit more money and get something a bit more future-proofed.

Your 1080Ti is a great choice but understandably new architectures are being utilized for modern AAA games.

What NVIDIA graphics card would this compare to?
    GOODSTUFF's avatar
in between 4060 and 4060 ti
