OVERVIEW
ASUS DUAL GEFORCE RTX 3060 V2 OC EDITION 12GB GAMING GRAPHICS CARD
The ASUS DUAL Geforce RTX 3060 V2 OC Edition 12GB Gaming Graphics Card features two powerful axial-tech fans and a two slot design for broad compatibility. Enjoy next-level power thanks to NVIDIA Ampere Streaming Multiprocessors, 2nd Gen RT Cores, 3rd Gen Tensor Cores and more.

Key Features:

  • NVIDIA Ampere Streaming Multiprocessors
  • 2nd Generation RT Cores
  • 3rd Generation Tensor Cores
  • OC mode: Boost clock 1867 MHz (OC mode)/ 1837 MHz (Gaming mode)
  • Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure.
  • 2-slot Design
  • 0dB Technology lets you enjoy light gaming in relative silence
  • A stainless steel bracket is harder and more resistant to corrosion

COOLING
With two fans you can enjoy twice the fun! The ASUS DUAL Geforce RTX 3060 V2 OC Edition 12GB Gaming Graphics Card combines dynamic thermal performance with broad compatibility. The advanced cooling solution includes two Axial-tech fans for maximising airflow to the heatsink. To eliminate unnecessary noise, a stop mode halts all fans when the GPU temp falls below 50 degrees and power consumption is low.

ENGINEERING
With a protective backplate for durability and stainless steel bracket, the ASUS DUAL Geforce RTX 3060 V2 OC Edition 12GB Gaming Graphics Card is ready for the latest games. Auto-Extreme Technology is an automated manufacturing process that sets new standards in the industry by allowing all soldering to be completed in a single pass. This reduces thermal strain on components and avoids the use of harsh cleaning chemicals, resulting in less environmental impact, lower manufacturing power consumption, and a more reliable product overall.

SOFTWARE
Tweak and tune the ASUS DUAL Geforce RTX 3060 V2 OC Edition 12GB Gaming Graphics Card with GPU Tweak II, which takes graphics card tuning to the next level. It allows you to tweak critical parameters including GPU core clocks, memory frequency, and voltage settings, with the option to monitor everything in real-time through a customisable on-screen display.

NO DONT! that’s not good advice. Please do not be offended, but that is really not good advice. You would have to pay around £200 on ebay for a nearly 6 year old card (1080 Ti released in late 2017), which has no warranty by definition and has probably been abused over two mining waves or more. Also it has similar performance to a 3060 but it is missing modern features like DLSS, which can prove fantastic in modern games. At the price of £235, an ASUS 3060, is what everyone was waiting for. Just buy the damn thing.

Is there any benefit to getting a 3060 (or ti) when the equivalent AMD cards outperform them for less?

Only if you're also interested in using creative apps like Blender and AI art, instead of just gaming.

This is entry level performance and 2.5 years old, so £200 would be fair price. Still too expensive.

Imagine next round of price cuts for these will be when vanilla RTX 4060 launches in July

How's warranty work with buying from ebay like this? do you still get 3 years and just go to box?

Yes it’s just like buying from the retailer’s own store directly, only use eBay for the first 30 days.

Your decision is, £235 for a 3060 now or £289 for a 4060 next month

and a free game maybe for the 4060.

Any performance numbers for the 4060 yet. probably be the same as the 3060 and with only 8GB.

i see Ebay seller`s panicking now.

    Would a i5 10400f be a good cpu with this at 1080p?
    plewis00's avatar
    plewis00
Yes, it's fine and the 10400F is still a great all-round and gaming CPU despite being a few generations old.

i don`t think it`s worth it with the RTX 4060 non Ti due out in the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Depends on whether the price is reasonable. £289 has been thrown around, but we know that's not always gospel.

I think it would be better to wait for the RTX 4060. They are just shifting old stock here and at a high price for whats on offer by to days standards.

4060 is priced at £289 though so anyone looking to upgrade for solid 1080p or 1440p60 should look at the 3060 Ti deals we've been getting lately

a quick and dirty comparison. But yes, massive upgrade. Make sure you have a cpu that will not bottleneck the 3060.

Im new to PC Gaming. I started buying components - picked up an Intel Arc A750 for £200 yesterday, shall i return for this or spend a bit more and get the 3060 Ti?

Any help would be greatly welcomed.

Well you can't get this for this price anymore, prices have been put up so it's not an option unless you want to spend an extra £30.

Rx 6600 for £180 is another option .seems like similar performance from what I've seen..less vram though

I have a 1080 Ti and have no idea what to upgrade to next. Any advice? I’m a video editor, editing lots of 4k video, and do a bit of gaming. Happy to give specs of my PC if that helps?

Depends on your budget, if money no object then obviously a 4090, i think a 3090 is a great option with the prices that they are now. the 24Gb of VRAM in particular being the stand out for both cards.
