About this deal

A bit of a niche deal. I have the cheaper Celestron phone holder (bundled with my telescope) which is good but quite fiddly to line up. Would love to buy this one as it seems to resolve a lot of my issues in quick setup but I'm still early in my astronomy journey. I've only had one clear sky since Feb so gonna see how I get on this year with what I have. Hope it helps someone.

I have been using this 81055 version for just over two years, on various scopes and eyepieces. Once you have aligned your phone camera lens, you shoudn't need to adjust it (too much!) when you change to a different eyepiece. I have used it on plossls and at the moment, on BST Starguider EPs. For this price, this seems the cheapest you can get one at the moment, unless you buy pre-owned.
I find them an excellent bit of kit.

Really? Reviews generally suggest otherwise (obvs ur speaking from experience).

Mine is the Celestron 81035 that came with my Omni 102 AZ. I had to fit it to my eyepiece first (inside) in good light, then attach the whole lot to scope. I've got taped markers now on the back of my phone so I can align quicker next time.

The hassle paid off as I got some great shots of the moon. Compared to mine the setup of this one looks way better.

    Here's mine FYI
