I have been looking for the cheapest place to buy Lego Wall-E after seeing it priced at £39.99 in the Lego store. It's the same price in Argos at the moment BUT if you take in any toy and donate it, you can get £5 off a £35 spend on toys. This brings the price down to £34.99 which is currently lower than Tesco or John Lewis. A saving for sure.

I had a few old toys kicking around so I donated them - but alternatively you could easily spend a few pennies in a charity shop for a couple of cuddly toys. All in a good cause!

Of course, you could use the £5 voucher on any other toy but I wanted a Wall-E so that's what I got :o)

Was probably on the 3 for 2 last week, and every Lego item you can get on Argos less the £5 voucher.

Yes - as I said in the OP

Bought this for a future investment like ecto1 car as the Delorean bttf car has been discontinued by Lego so massively gone up in price so not going to build it as much as I would love to see it built!! Oh btw I got this cheaper than this price by using bespoke beat my price got it for £31.97!!

This is basically the Sam post as the £5 of when trading in a toy. You have just used the wall e as an example. So it's a duplicate post.

I do realise this - except that the £5 off brings this particular toy under the price of every other retailer out there at the moment.

You could buy it from toys r us with a carrier bag and get a £10 voucher (to buy another one as an investment of course)
