We have half a dozen of these. They are very good and id recommend but they do the battery’s in our busy house in 6 months or less not a year. For the last month or so of that i turn them from low to high. Been great for landing kitchen etc when your moving about in unsociable hours

I have these. How do you turn them from low to high?

if your going to get these (or similar) invest in some rechargable batteries, they can get through the AAA batteries

These are the earlier model (T1301) there is a later model (T1305, 2nd generation) which i have had for around 9 months, still on the same set of batteries. Highly recommended. (edited)

    Where?

If you're buying them please invest in rechargeable batteries, otherwise they'll eat through your stock quite quickly

I love devices like this, but agree... recharable is best. Anyone who owns this able to confirm their allegation of "3 AAA batteries provide lighting for up to a year"... is that with constant use, or only very occasional? Never heard a battery powered thing lasting anything near that - so switched to recharable.

Ive got the vestka version of these..there located in areas when its dark they will always come on when us or dogs set them off, maybe 2/3 months of battery life is more relistic, 1 year is possible if it only goes of 1/2 times a night..did you buy the light with built in rechargble batteries or did you buy your own batteries/charger, im debating which way to go, probably the latter as most built in batteries arent amazing, well in cheaper products anyway

We have these in our wardrobes and in the cupboard under the kitchen sink. Really do recommend them for that use. The batteries have lasted a couple of years too. Time Machine moment but we got them in 2020 for £12.74

I have had these for about 2.5 years and changed batteries twice so I believe they did last a year

If using the stick-on pads easy are these to detach from the wall to change batteries without leaving any mess?

The mounting panel is stuck on, the unit lifts off the panel and then you replace the batteries on the unit. Haven't had to move the mounting panel yet so can't tell you if it leaves a mark.

We use these. Have one in the shed which is very handy and you don't need to remember to switch a light off when you lock up. Also one in the bathroom which, like other comments say, handy for not needing to put a light on late at night, when you nip to the loo (edited)

too much info. ..........Just off to buy 3 for 'hidey' holes..............not just the top of the wardrobe.

I’m out the house at 5.30 usually 1 sock inside out and boxers back to front, these are a life saver

Honestly one of the best purchases I have ever made, if you have little kids or old grandparents with bad sight put these in corridors and little spaces where it might be hard for them to reach the light at night time. I charge these less then anything in my house and they last weeks
    john_n3MU's avatar
or try light saving light bulbs with PIR built in to activate...................great in corridors etc.

Got several of these scattered through the house and do the job very well. We also have in a few cupboards as well.

If this had an internal lithium battery then yes, but 3 AAA is not so great. Was hoping the 2nd generation put that right, but didn't
    Rob_Samsung's avatar
My rechargeable batteries last quite a while to be honest in these and used daily. A lithium model would be good though I suppose.
