About this deal

Another robot for sale today. This time it's not a laser navigation one, but you get the self-emptying module as well.

  • [Enjoy Up to 8 Weeks* Hassle-Free Cleaning] : Equipped with a sizable 3.2-liter dust bag, you're free from manually emptying for up to 8 Weeks*. Enjoy maximum convenience and long-lasting cleanliness with minimal effort. *As per eufy laboratory data. Duration varies based on home environment and pets.
  • [Allergy Care Certified] : The G30+ boasts TÜV SÜD's Allergy Care certification. This assures that it captures 99.9% of particles while collecting dust, preventing allergen release into the air.
  • [Dynamic Navigation] : With the Path Tracking Sensor, Dynamic Navigation allows for purposeful cleaning across all surfaces when compared to random path robotic vacuums.
  • [2000Pa of Hard-Hitting Suction] : The ultra-strong 2000Pa of suction power ensures more debris is picked up across all surfaces giving you noticeably cleaner floors.
  • [App Control with Cleaning History] : Complete all your cleaning needs right from your smartphone. When the job is done check-out where and when your RoboVac cleaned.
  • [BoostIQ Technology] : Automatically increases suction power within 1.5 seconds when extra vacuuming strength is needed—so you get the best clean.
  • [Note] : Make sure you are using a 2.4GHz router or a dual-band router that is configured to support a 2.4GHz frequency band. RoboVac does not support 5GHz frequency band

I used one of these for a while before getting the L60 with lidar. It's absolutely fine if you just want your entire floorspace vacummed don't need to block off areas each time to stop it eating wires.

For £100 more I'd highly recommend the L60 though for convenience.

For £220 (last week it was 180)you can get a Ecovacs N8+ which has lidar amzn.eu/d/h…7Il

As an ecovacs owner, whilst the vacuum itself does a decent job, the software and the app is a huge PITA.

If anything is out of place it says "detects changes to the map" then deletes the whole saved map and starts a new scan and creates a new map.
This is a nuisance when you have set up a areas and zones.
If you cancel it in time will go back to the old map, but if it finishes the scan (say you left it on scheduled scan) you will have to set it up again.

edit: Check the reddit ecovacs forum for disgruntled app users. (edited)

I posted and I got all the 'its rubbish, no lidar'. I have 2 , one with and one without and the lidar one still bumps into things, both still create maps. (edited)

I have this and it's been very effective, very pleased with it.

I just spent £57 more on the Lubluelu SL60D and self-empty station based on a couple of recommendations and because I gathered that Lidar was important. It's my first robovac so I've no idea how well it compares, but I'm impressed so far. Only downside is that mopping is a separate function which is enough of a faff that by the time you've set it up, it's easier just to mop our small kitchen. Still, it might be more worthwhile when we get laminate in the other rooms.
