    The problem with cordless vacs is that the head and wand might have a 2 / 3 / 5 year guarantee. The battery only has one. We had a Vax and had the head replaced after nine months. Battery died four months later so cheaper to get a new hoover.

    We've had our two battery shark for 3 years now and still working fine. Only cost £199
