sorted byIt is not heavy duty, and it is not accurate. If you want a square cut you can not rely on the indicator gauges, you have to do a couple of trial cuts to dial it in. But all in all a good saw for the brass.
I'm very impressed for the price.
I'd also recommend checking that it's square before making any cuts. (edited)
Also like all Evolution mitre saws seemingly, the blade bore size is 25.4mm rather than the usual 30mm.
If you look on Toolstation, Screwfix etc you will find that this restricts supply to just a few higher price replacement blades.
It seems with the track saws you don't see better products until you're almost into Festool type price range.
A few jobs in mind for both really, but cutting down 100mm square fence posts is one. Whilst I'm sure I could do it with the track saw, I'm sure it'd be easier with this.
