Thanks OP. Not much about this one anywhere other than a single review but worth a punt at this price.

It is one of the better known Rum review sites on the internet and worth a check for Rum reviews. (edited)

Thanks, I haven’t tried this one but all FAIR products are amazing. Heat!

Shame did not get it - seems interesting rum. Could be a diamond in a rough.

I've never had a pure unaged rum that I thought tasted good. It's not quite as bad as unaged whiskey, but there's still a notable harshness to it, requiring aging to smooth things out and fill out the flavor profile.

This just seems like a more premium-branded version of typical overproof rum, which is not meant to be good tasting, just useful for mixers and whatnot.

Maybe there is more to the marketing aspect of the 'Fair' label and they really help with sustainability and that's what you're paying for. I dont know enough to say otherwise, but I'm always a bit skeptical.

But yea, in general, if you're going for best taste, typically you want an aged rum(white rums can still be aged, they just filter out the color for aesthetic purposes), or at least one made of aged and unaged blends. (edited)
