About this deal

Not really a Rum drinker but have tried this and it's not half bad & this is the cheapest I've seen it.

Foursquare is one of Barbados’ oldest trading houses, a family-owned business whose involvement in rum making extends from father-to-son since 1820. Current head distiller, Richard Seale, is one of the region’s most innovative distillers and blenders and has a passion for producing perfect rum with great flavour. The Foursquare Distillery occupies the site of a former sugar factory that dates back to 1636 and, as one of the most modern and efficient rum distilleries in the world, is designed to be both highly energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Rums at Foursquare are a blend of the artisanal copper pot still and traditional twin –column still distillation. Blended Rums are uncommon but represent the quintessential expression of the Barbadian style. The pot still gives the rum greater complexity and depth of flavour and is truly an artisanal small batch process. The column still allows the final blend to have a superior balance both in aroma and on the palate. The column still at Foursquare comprises two columns and is a modern version of a ‘coffey still’. Innovation means that distillation is performed under vacuum and thus at a lower temperature producing a better quality spirit. The all copper pot still is a unique evolution of the classic Caribbean pot/double retort design.

Last bought exactly a year a go to the day!
And 2 quid less....sign of the times...
Ohh well, it would be rude not to
    P.S. Max S&S makes it £22.10 (edited)

Drank this last night, wasn't particularly impressed with a fairly bland rum.

but... what's with that ridiculous "hand dipped wax seal"? mine was clearly plastic, not wax, and after 5 minutes with a pair of scissors trying to get into the thing i was left with a metal screwcap with a ragged disc of plastic stuck to the top that can't be removed. this appears to be where the plastic is glued to the cap
