But it’s not. Unsealed doesn’t automatically make it second hand. GAME doesn’t have that reputation. It’s not exactly difficult to figure out they need boxes on the shop floor so would naturally gut one or two. I never understand why people just don’t automatically think this.
Should add second hand to title ;)
When I worked at GAME, we would "gut" two new, sealed games and place those boxes (the ones with an actual bar code) onto the shop floor among the generic boxes. We would also place a few sealed copies (as well as the discs of the games we just gutted) in a dedicated "new games" drawer separate from pre owned. This was a technique for us to pad out shelves (and save boxes) and keep track of stock. This is also why the game in the picture is unsealed despite it being new.
Fair comment. I’ve opened up the box - disc is pristine and the registration code for the Square Enix website worked fine. The preowned discs were also shelved separately from the new ones. You did make me wonder, but I’m pretty sure this is new!
I used to work at GAME, and they keep both new and preowned in separate drawers. I've saved you that tour now (popcorn)
