I'm starting to dislike the words "selected areas"

Same here. Get the impression a lot of these companies are just fighting over the same high density places.

they have placed the the wires underneath the road last year in my area but the service is still not yet available to my house. I am looking foward to try it as I am sick of the current fastest speed 67Mb/s

Can't you ask open reach to hook you up? my neighbour was connected yesterday. they previously told him he had to get an indirect connection through his neighbours front garden. not sure who he was speaking to but i saw the open reach workmen and the box on the pavement.

Don't suppose I can do this as a renewal, shame. I'm really not keen on having to go all "sky" on them and leave just to rejoin but if that's what it takes to get an OK price so be it. 5G on the mobile is a real competitor nowadays for my needs (work VPN throttles down to 20Mb anyway)

Look into mobile broadband, switched from my openreach line 4 months ago, and it's been brilliant.

WTF? I've just been on the phone to them about contract renewal and ended up with 300mbps for £35 pm. I've been diddled............

That's very costly. Call again to cancel.
They might call back to offer better deal.

Only for new customers. If you have gigaclear in your area then you seriously look at this

been with them 6 weeks and not good so far. outages twice, billed for calls not made and not shown in my itemised call summary. don't call you back.Conflicting information about installation process . Spaded into the ground from the POT on day of installation and not don't inadvance as told. grr! sadly no other providers in my area for superfast broadband.

We have had NO issues at all with them since offloading terrible/nightmarish TalkTalk. The installation was fine - the contractors did a great joband did everything I asked. And not one problem has arisen since the installation several years ago, and the VOIP works fine too
