Does anyone know if this is a worthy update for f4 which I might add I'm quite happy with.

I upgraded from the F3 which is essentially the same phone as the F4 mainly for the more powerful chip as I play a lot of emulators which has been a worthy upgrade.

That said for general day to day use it's not much different but you could say the same for most phones from the past few years probably.

Yet again I am tempted but F3 just keeps zipping along with zero problems....

This is the issue, phone hardware has reached the point that further upgrades don't help that much. Even as the software is doing more, the hardware is still coping well.

What we need is bigger image sensors, improved optics to really give cameras a boost. Then apply software on top.

There was some software over 10 years ago but it never made it onto phones. Where you took several photos of a person or group, and it would pick the best faces, so no one had their eyes closed etc. So merge 20 photos into 1 good photo.

Just ordered this after my F2 Pro met an untimely demise in a car accident... Otherwise I'd still be using it!

Unless you're a photographer there doesn't seem much reason to upgrade recently

I bought mine similar price, upgraded from F3 to F5 8GB 256GB version, downgrades are screen brightness & slightly worse speakers, it doesn't have dual video ATM hopefully they can add it in future updates.

This is my dream phone after owning the F3, and all of these Aliexpress deals are amazing, but I live near Inverness and apparently that isn't part of mainland UK so no shipping available on anything. Guess I'll have to wait for it to go cheaper elsewhere

Have it shipped to a friend or relative somewhere else in the UK?

There's not much reason to upgrade, but still considering it for my son (f3 to f5) as it's a net upgrade cost of about £110/£120 given current F3 sold prices.

I ordered the F5 pro 512GB from AliExpress for £382. I'm tempted to cancel and get this. Not sure the Pro and 512GB is worth an additional 40% of the price

Anyone know if the camera is better on the Mi10T pro or this F5? I'm still using the 10T since launch and can't find anything to replace it with.

In terms of camera Xiaomi 10t pro is one of the best phones they have ever made. Incredible stabilization. It shoot 4k 60fps which Poco f5 can't. Honestly stick to Xiaomi until you can afford something like 12pro or ultra to actually feel the difference.

Is this better or worse than 11t pro? I don't really care if the camera is better. It's more about the processor and speed. Ordered 11t pro yesterday from Amazon and it's due tomorrow. Is the back glass or plastic? I hate plastic phones! I'm upgrading from Redmi Note 9 Pro. (edited)

Here is a comparison of their processors, the POCO edges it:

    nanoreview.net/en/…n-2

AnTuTu suggests the POCO is about 10% better, you also get 4GB more RAM.

Anyone have problems with Poco F5. I cannot restore backup from F3 on Google cloud, contacts won't sync or restore. I did reset the phone a few times, but only got errors.

I am thinking of returning it, this is UK version. (edited)

How do I remove the automatically applied Spend & Save discount? It's £3 off every £25 (max £9). As I cannot use this in discount combination with the "bmi33" or "SS33" coupon codes.
