Wouldn't the head get really hot in your hand? I used to have one of these but with a trigger handle type head and you could definitely feel the heat even with your hand a few inches away

These taps all have flexible plastic tubes inside them so the water is not in direct contact with the outer metal, but you would expect a certain degree of thermal conductivity. I suppose the question is just how hot is your hot water, and how long are you going to be running it for at a time.

If you want to pull it out to wash salads you are using cold and if you are rinsing off fairy liquid from some plates then again I would use cold or atmost mixed. Then only time I would run pure hot water for a length of time would be to fill a dirty pan that needed soaking or to fill the sink, but then you don't need the flexible pull out function for that. Many of the reviews say it is hard to install, with the locking nut not getting tight enough to keep the tap in place

I don’t have this particular tap but I have a tall grohe quick fit bathroom tap that I installed without problem and is perfectly steady and fixed. Any tap is uncomfortable to fit down Ken your knees but I suppose the amazon reviewer could have been unlucky and suffered a fault of manufacture? Also the quick fit system is to make it easier but i imagine you could get a screw down knut for it if you found the quick fit system insecure…. (edited)

Costco have it at the same price, if anyone prefers them.

Just make sure you have space for the counter weight/hose to drop down.

I replaced our kitchen tap with one of these pull out Groves and had to cut out part of the shelf in the cabinet. Otherwise the weight sat on the shelf and the hose didn’t pull all the way in. (edited)
