Which? reviewed this model at £899 in October and gave it a score of 62%. 4/5 stars for picture quality for all measures except motion stability which got 5/5. But they didn't like the TV speakers sound (3/5) and "cluttered" menu and app store (ease of use 3/5).

Nice. The Roku soundbar sorts out the interface and sound.:)

As a tv it will be ok. But be aware Hisense uk models are not the same spec as eu and usa models. The u7 and u8 models all the American reviewers rave about are not the same over here.

Was tempted, but rtings flag clarity issues displaying 4k 120hz in gaming section of review. Though not a massive problem due to most games being 4k 60hz now, for next nextgen consoles and for PC gaming ill require 4k 120hz so can't buy this. Good price though.

That isn't actually the same TV as this one. As RTINGS say in their review the same model number is used internationally but the performance is different.

So that review isn't actually for this TV, that is a review of the north american version. If you want a review of the UK model then you'll need to check the WhatHifi review (whathifi.com/rev…tuk)

i wonder how this stacks up against the new TCL models like the C641K which is a fair chunk cheaper
Really struggling to decide on a cheaper than OLED type tv, now there <800 for a 55" its not easy to decide. I just fancy a new tv but its only for digital tv and streaming apps, not gaming

If you don't need hdmi 2.1 and 120hz for next gen gaming. Almost any tv from any brand will do for just watching content. Unless you have specific features or functions you want or need.

All non OLED tv's are basically some form of LCD anyway. The only difference is the type of panel (ads/ips or va which can also have a nanocell or quantum dot colour enhancement filter), the type of back light (Led edge or back lit, or mini led) if it supports hdr with full array local dimming and the soc and smart features.

More budget models will have less picture modes and picture processing or enhancement features, slower more limited menu's and smart apps. They could be more clunky and annoying to use. If you have a sky, virgin, firestik, Roku or similar device you can bypass all the in built stuff. (edited)

Heard nothing but good reviews of this uk model tbh . I’m so tempted to get it but really want to see it side by side with an Lg Qned etc

I went and checked this against a £1500 LG Qled in Curry's today. The LG had darker blacks for sure but this TV looked amazing on its own! very good blacks. Currys are selling it for 549!!!

Still works fine here. Are you sure you don't have any spaces before or after the code?

    Price dropped today, -20 quid

And looks like they've had a restock and it's back to the original 549 before discount
