    This seems like a decent reduction. However, we have had two Matebooks for the offspring at Uni. The USBC power socket is soldered to the main board, and both have failed after the guarantee expired.  Repair was quoted as £90 for each device. A search for "Matebook USBC failure" suggests this is a well-known problem..

    Exactly this. Prior to this happening though it was a cracking piece of kit.

    I have purchase one so will update people on if they are any good.

    Do not buy. Gets ridiculously hot and stopped working when I had a previous model. Wanted 300 to repair. Also had their 28 inch 4k screen which just stopped working unless brightness at 15% (very dim) and wanted 250 to repair that. Do not buy
