I certainly wouldn’t expect extra kids meals for free, but just want to know the offer (if any) for non-two child families without having to telephone or visit.

The deal is for 2 adult and 2 child meals! I'm pretty sure, if you call them they'll tell you "yes sir, we do have a deal on at the moment and it's for two adult meals and two child meals for £15... No sir, the deal is automatically applied to the till if you order two adult meals and two child meals... No sir, there are no substitutions, additions of reductions possible on this deal as it is automatically applied at the till when the correct amount of food that is valid for the offer is purchased".

They "could" make a "different" offer of "for parties of 4 or more every adult meal is £5 and every kids meal is £2.50" but they haven't... so... either enjoy the deal or move on?

We've got 3 kids and would be happy to get an extra kids meal with this deal. I guess some people are never happy!

Again, this is down to budget and taste.

If you don't want to go, then don't!

To be fair though , your family would probably need a visit to McDs after this meal as this wouldn't be enough food for you (2 adult meals and 2 kids meals) , also this doesn't include drinks so add approx. £10 to this and you are at £25 and still short on meals.
Hope this clarifies my point for you this time, I know you struggled with the last one

Please don't be offended , my post wasn't meant to offend

I bought 4 meals at £5.49+ each (as a treat) and £2.79 happy meal.. + McFlurry so £30.00

Just a terrible offer for a single parent guess I'll be having a belly full (_;)

Don't know why everyone is expecting a gourmet chain, it's Mc Donald's with a playground. Keeps the kids happy and my purse, can't argue with that. Thanks op

yes marty we found the same there were loads of (non-reserved) tables but none for 2 people and the gestapo on the new silly desk said there was 3a 0 min wait for a table!!! lol! We said we'd go to the green king across the road as did several others. It's a downmarket pubchain not a restaurant! haven't been back. Also it's near about 5 other pubs/restaurants!!! but ta op anyway

Generally poor all round. The food is basic at best and I wouldn't like to guess the origins of the "beef". Our local (beekeeper, notts) used to be bearable for a cheap meal as the kids used to go and play for free in the play area whilst we waited for our meals (good job as we waited over one and a half hours on one occasion). On our last visit we found you now have to wait to be seated (the guy behind the bar kept shouting across to us to just wait 5 minutes someone will be coming....... we could see several unreserved tables from where we were stood). After 15 minutes we got shown our table (no choice......2 cheap, wobbly tables pushed together; which trapped our kids fingers and would have spilt our drinks.....if anyone had ever come to take our order). After a further 15 minutes and no one came we just gave up and left.
Any prospective new owners should be able to buy the place up cheap pretty soon.....unless they make BIG changes.
Ps. The offers they have can't be combined with any vouchers or Tesco rewards....not clear on their website or in the restaurant BUT you will be told when its too late and about to settle the bill!

I have to agree with the comments already posted here, as a warning to … I have to agree with the comments already posted here, as a warning to those thinking of using this offer. When I signed up, I had never visited a Hungry Horse before, but knew there was one near the cinema. So I arranged with a friend to eat there first - and my friend also signed up to the offer. When I presented our two vouchers, at the main counter, the waitress treated them like they had an infectious disease. She refused to deal with them, and pressed them onto another member of staff, saying she 'didn't know what to do with them'. The pair of them resumed their comfortable little chat, leaving me fuming and embarrassed, stood at the bar counter. Eventually they passed the vouchers through a door, to 'the manager'. I waited some more. I pointed out that my friend and I were seeing a film, and were running out of time to eat the dessert, whenever it arrived. I was told the manager would be "two minutes".Ten minutes later (and a good 25 minutes after I presented the vouchers) a third waitress came out and finally said, yes, they would honour them, what would we like? I complained about the wait and said we would have to leave in 10 minutes to see the film. By the time the darn sundaes finally materialised, I was too stressed and upset to eat mine.I thought about a written complaint, but then looked around me. The Hungry Horse is just a bog standard pub that does food. The tables are bare, the cutlery is greasy and comes served in a tin bucket, the food is tasteless high-calorie junk. Why would I complain? They would only offer me another chance to eat there again... and that I WON'T be doing. If you can put up with fruit machines and gaming machines all around you, and bits of food on the floor, and dozy, unwilling, sullen teenagers as waiting staff, and you don't mind eating crap food - by all means, go and get your free ice cream. But don't be surprised if, by the time you get it, you are as put off as I was.

You need to sort yourself out you snob.

Gambling machines in a pub? Oh the horror!

I actually laughed when I read that you were too upset to eat ice cream.

Lol.

I like our two local ones. You get what you pay for. Healthy choices for kids, decent food, kids get to watch cbeebies then play on slide, I get five minutes followed by a very nice slice of mars attack cake. Who doesn't microwave food? weatherspoons hungry horse all affordable places. Thank you very much for the free sundae and a free meal for refering someone, something for nothing whats to complain about.

I usually don't have a bad experience in my local hungry horse.

When i completed the Man vs Burrito challenge, they refunded my meal and got a free pint (with a a voucher for any big plate).

Admittedly, the drinks are a bit rubbish, especially the ales; taste like watered down milk, but the food more than makes up for it.

My local's the Seagull too, gotta agree it's really great service there - I guess it's hit and miss depending on where you go etc. but I've never had a problem with them really, cheap and cheerful

Can't fault our local - The Seagull, in Portchester. Always clean & welcoming, food is always tasty and well presented, the kids enjoy it there too.

Hungry Horse are great for a slap up pub meal, it's true that you get what you pay for - but you haven't paid for gourmet food, so don't expect it.
