Note, this is a speciality machine, the biggest and heaviest in the ThinkPad line.
A beast with an older CPU and thicker chassis, so don't compare it to an Ultrabook, it has its place, and someone might see this as a bargain. Still, these were nearly £3000 a year ago. TCB has 5.1% cashback (if you trust TCB). As this is not the latest and greatest, I am not sure what battery they supply, but I doubt it is the new 86W bricks you can get with the current model line, have a pick in PSERF if you need to know. Ah, yes, this is a limited stock offer and not customisable.

Doesn’t seem like a bargain these days, 10 series, poor graphics, low spec screen, ram is good but again ddr 4 not 5… sorry it’s a no from me

Thinkpads IMO are the best laptops money can buy. Even F1 use Lenovos. They're expensive but the quality is outstanding.

The processor in this model is 2-3 years old and the GPU is about 4-5 years old (similar to a GTX 1060). The Ram is also a little slow but it's all top tier kit performance wise.

If someone needs a bulletproof laptop for CAD etc it's a good buy buy buy otherwise it's a little outdated (edited)

It's a lot of money for something that has a CPU which has worse performance than a lower-mid end current laptop.

I have a laptop with this CPU and 3070 and another with the latest i9, tbh I prefer this cpu

I just can't get past the offset trackpad on these. I think it's the P1 that does away with the number pad so the trackpad is central.

I'm assuming it's speciality is that people like to grumble about it?

    So ugly and chunky

    It's a portable workstation, not a laptop

I know this has good spec screen size/ram but it's expensive for a 10th gen.

got to agree, big jump in performance from 10th gen to 12th and the 13th has improved again.
