What's the difference between this and the C3?
I can see G2's original price is higher than the C3 but in terms and quality and specs I appreciate if someone can explain the difference. thanks

Was gonna go 65 but taken this up instead (I think I need confirmation that the cost difference is justified lol) . Can't see myself upgrading or getting any larger so hoping this lasts a long time. Thank you for those giving out the BLC codes as well, the fact you all do such an admirable service and go out of your way still to help others is very appreciated.

I'm looking for a new TV for a dedicated movie/gaming room, and stuck in the dilemma of TV/projector, and then if TV should I go LG OLED, Sony OLED, or Samsung with whatever letters they use now. I know it's a general question but if anyone has any opinion or suggestions then I'm all ears. Thanks

It all depends on what you think is worth it. Is the Sony worth the extra? In my option no because I'm not going to sit there and pause a scene and start saying to people 'oh look how much more colour this has than....? Reviews are always skewed. No on is showing what eastenders looks like, it's always some type of UHD content like Spears & Munsil. For the extra price of the A95L you could get a whole surround sound system bought and installed which would elevate whatever you're watching to the next level much more then than buying the " best" TV (edited)

When I got mine, on grey background I had lines but I run pixel cleaning and gone,
    Is that normal on OLEDS?

Sounds like out of sync pixels

I remember 2 years ago when I bought my cx 77 for 1900 everyone was saying how 77 olds will never be below 2k mark. And now the Elite G series are routinely sold below 2k on deal.... (edited)

Sony A95L QD-OLED maybe the best OLED Tv in terms of picture but it’s crazy how the 55” A95L (£2300) is more expensive than this 77” G2.

As well the Mid-range 65” Sony A80L OLED around £1999.

No idea what happened with Sony pricing. No wonder they left the high end OLED market. (edited)

Mine arrived today from last weeks deal price, messaged LG who wouldn’t refund the difference.
Really can’t be bothered with the hassle of returning so will just enjoy this fantastic tv.

We bought a 77" C version of this TV a couple of years ago. This is a better and brighter panel for a cheaper price. I wouldn't hesitate going for this.
  17. Waltz's avatar
So tempted, I only upgraded to the 65” OLED a year or two ago, might see if any family members want to buy a 65”…

Annoying that the mount is so high, looks like I’d have to drill more holes in the wall to move the mount higher. Small price to pay for such a big panel though!
    jerrysimon's avatar
Just had to do that for my 65” G2 which sits lower than my old B7. Basically moved bracket up so bottom holes now used old top holes and two new holes drilled above for new top hole position. Took about 15 mins 🤪

Does anyone know if the OLED screen burn is a thing these days?

Currently have a 65C8PLA with massive screen burn that John Lewis is refusing to honour it under their extended warranty which I paid extra specifically for the screen burn issues.

No when Under normal usage (not displaying static images or watching news channels for a long period of time).

This Tv has an Evo panel with a heatsink and some anti-burn in measures so it’s more durable than your C8.

You still have to take some measures since whilst improved, it’s not 100% burn in proof. (edited)
