If you haven't tried it before, look out for Maysan curry paste, it's the most authentic Chinese curry sauce paste. Found in Chinese supermarkets, it
costs more but well worth it imo.

I've only had the poundland one. Frozen in a pack. How does this compare?

I’ve not had the frozen one but this is nice.
Just bring to boil in pan whilst whisking and no lumps or grittiness

I use a coffee frother and microwave 90 seconds. Stir at 45 seconds. Very nice, 1 serving

If you like Chinese curry from a chippy then this is the stuff most similar. Always have a few of these in the freezer

The daddy for Chinese curry sauce, can't believe it's so cheap. Prepared in minutes.

As mentioned below the trick is to whisk it, don't use a spoon or fork if you want to avoid lumps. (edited)

25grams of this plus 115ml water - do it on digital scales in small saucepan - bring to boil/simmer for about 2 mins then done. A great single portion. Generally do a 2 minute microwave rice pouch at same time. Rice and Curry sauce - can’t beat it and all done in 2 minutes if I use induction hob for the sauce

    Generally £1 in B&M

Try the southern fried gravy mix too, blows kfc out of the water, needs a few grinds of black pepper extra though.

I've got some can't wait to try it

I bought the hot one from B&M a number of years ago & found that the medium was hotter
    escorttwincam's avatar
Eh? I find the medium not hot at all.
