    These "opened never used" always seem fishy to me, especially when from a store. They've probably been a display model been sat on charge with the screen on all day.

    There used to be a practice of networks and resellers having to activate a certain number of devices in order to trigger volume related bonuses. If this still goes on could be one explanation, hundreds of phones are fired up for commercial gain, and then sold on for a discount.

    In any case I picked up a Motorola Edge 20 about a month ago sold as open never used. When it came it had screen burn on its OLED display and the image retained was the Motorola logo that cycles round on the demo mode - which would indicate shop display. In all other respects it looked brand new. Battery even checked out as pretty much full health which suggests always ran on the adapter.

    Ahh the old opened never used thing.

    I just opened it to check its contents (in case the factory decided to put a cream egg in the box instead of a phone).

    Another one is the "never left the house and from a pet free home"! It's a mobile phone so you would've used it out and about. Also I don't expect your pet to have been using it so why mention them? I get that loads of pet owners are slovenly but I certainly don't believe you when you say you don't have any pets in a phone listing
