About this deal
Always on the lookout for a new tipple to try. Was actually on the hunt for Oban 14 at a decent price (Sadly nothing great about) Then came across this, which sounds great. The Master of Malt reviews are really good, but not many places seem to sell it, so can't really go massively in depth there.

Olorosum 10 Year Old
Superb single malt from a secret Speyside distillery. As you might have guessed from the name, Olorosum is a splendidly sherried affair. The 10-year-old single malt was treated to an extremely generous finish in oloroso sherry casks before being bottled up without added colour or chill filtration at a hearty 54.7% ABV. With a smartly waxed top (how did they make it slanted like that?!) and a black and gold label that gives off some rather suave Art Deco vibes, it looks as stunning as it tastes.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose Superbly sherried, with burnt sugar, golden syrup, and milk chocolate. Candied pecans and festive chocolate liqueurs follow while drying old oak nestles in the depths.
Palate Big and bold with vanilla fudge and boozy dried fruits opening the way for sweet, nutty malt. Chocolate raisins and Brazil nuts follow, with notes of wood polish and brandy snaps.
Finish A dense finish, with drying oak and aged fruit cake, toasted spices, and minced pies.

sorted by- Not currently on offer but their Wormtub 10 is exceptional in my opinion. Have drunk a bottle of Batch 3, currently batch 5 being sold.
It's cask strength but I don't put water in it as the flavour is smooth and intense as it comes. - Some good comments about that on here.
- This is fantastic if you like sherry bombs. Not the most sophisticated or anything, but a real blast.
Have compared to a few other cask strength sherrybombs in the £60-£80 range and it holds its own (a'bunadh, glendronach cs, arran bodega, etc). (edited) - Never heard of it. Bought it.
- The tasting notes say it all. Distillery snobs take note.
- I bought a bottle to make up the total for free postage. I wasn't disappointed. Very rich, with a sherry finish which is impressive for its depth of character. It certainly takes a few drops of water because of it's strength but overall I was very pleasantly surprised by its quality for the price. I would definitely buy it again.
- I bought this, at the same price at the end of March. It was supposed to be a flash sale at the time but I don't think the price ever went up again.
At under 40 quid for a cask strength ten, I think it represents great value, especially as it is delicious, with wonderful depth. If you like sherried Speysiders, you can't really go wrong. - One of the best sherry bombs out there at the minute, an outstanding whisky
- Tempted even though I am a fan of smoke and peteLucky Pete.
